It was 37F yesterday or 3C...warm for Winter but foggy. Jen and Andy have the cleanest driveway on the block...anytime there is a bit of snow Andy takes care of it.
See the dirty snow?
Not exactly a Winter Wonderland. But the streets are good...as in not icy:)Far Guy had a four stick two nurse IV for his infusion...the next try would have been the third nurse. He feels kinda cruddy....not sick...just off.
The last day of January...finally!
Far Side
rain today washing away all our dirty snow...not much left anyway...thankful for warmer temps...
ReplyDeleteIt really looks cold. Goodbye January! Hello spring coming. Poor Far Buy!
ReplyDeleteOh man - 4 sticks and 2 nurses - that is rough! When we left the work meeting at 4:00 yesterday in Sioux Falls to drive across town for grandson's basketball game it was 59 degrees and sunny. Just the craziest January.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't sound like a fun time with that infusion. Glad it's behind him for the week.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the little lighted trees by the house. Andy sounds like a good keeper. That is a lot of sticks and they are so uncomfortable. Prayers that Far Guy feels better today. Still cold up there so y'all stay bundled up.
ReplyDeleteWe got a bit of a warm up and now we've got a misty rain going on - it will be icy tonight when everything cools off!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope FG stays fine. You all have had a healthy winter up to this point.
ReplyDeleteVery thankful Andy keeps the driveway clear. It looks good but more importantly, it is safer.
You have a wonderful daughter and SIL! Tell Far Guy, I feel a little off today too. So sorry he had to go through so many sticks.
ReplyDeleteDirty snow that is on it's way out sure is fugly. Way too many pokes :( it is too bad Far Guy can't schedule infusions with a nurse that is more skilled & familiar with him.
ReplyDeleteWe still don't having any snow on the ground. It's been the strangest winter. Cold, but no snow, however down south has snow! Crazy. It's supposed to be 53F here today. We have to go to church in a little while and set up for a funeral lunch tomorrow. He was 96 years old and although we didn't know him well since we've been in Spokane for so long, seemed like a very nice man.
ReplyDeleteI feel for Far Guy. The bruises from my sticks in the CT scan finally showed up yesterday. My arms are pretty colorful now.
Enjoy your warm weather my friend.
Blessings,
Betsy
Four sticks is a bit much!
ReplyDeleteI feel for Far Guy. I have difficult veins. We don't have snow. It's brown and dreary.
ReplyDeleteNow we head into the longest month of winter---sigh
ReplyDeleteI'd be feeling cruddy too, if it took four sticks to get a needle. Poor guy!
ReplyDeleteWe're getting more snow back home, but I'm hopeful we'll be to the dirty stage of it by the time I return.
4 sticks is not fun. I think I had that many with my spinal block for my recent surgery. But that was better than having to recover from general anesthesia.
ReplyDeleteIt's dark and dreary with rain here now after many days of sunshine.
On to February and whatever that brings.
'wow...so sorry to hear about the four sticks for far guy. That is AWFUL. Hope he's much better soon.
ReplyDeleteMy husband often has that multiple nurse issue!
ReplyDeleteI sincerely hope it goes easier with the stick next time. :(
ReplyDeleteAnd January is over and done with. That was quick. ;)
I'm surprised how little snow you have. We don't have a lot either but a wee bit more than you folks.
ReplyDeleteLD ...Jen's stick trees are so fun. I probably won't remember the idea but it would be a fun way to display lights.
