I picked the book for book club this month. I read it previously and enjoyed it very much...in fact I enjoyed it the second time I read it too! I give it a 9 1/2 out of 10. It is a fun read.
James Patterson and Tad Safran wrote The Twelve Topsy- Tervy, Very Messy Days of ChristmasIt is a good book that may inspire you to begin Christmas preparations. ( I could use a big kick in the butt to get me going on the Christmas cards)
All of the gals at book club enjoyed the book.
Far Side
I'll look for the book! And I'm thinking about getting into the living room and begin my planning...

Thanks for the reminder that I need to find a book club! And maybe search for some humorous reads, maybe this one. (:
ReplyDeleteThat is a good one, and I may have to read it again too. Maybe it will put me in a holiday mood.
ReplyDeleteWell now, you have inspired me to read a book. Seriously. I have had no time, or no mojo to read since last May. Thank you for that.
ReplyDeleteOooooo this one sounds very interesting and at the perfect time of the year to read. I too am going to need a kick to get me going with Christmas. I've enjoyed all of my Fall decorations and just not ready to move on..
ReplyDeleteI don't set up Christmas like I used to. I don't even have a tree anymore because of Gatto and Frieda. They would destroy it. I have a large nutcracker collection I should bring up from the basement. Maybe those cats will leave them alone.
ReplyDeleteI’ll add it to my list of books to read.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! I ordered one for me!
ReplyDeleteI’ll try the book. Thank you for the review!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the book recommendation!! I will add it to my TBR list. I am currently stuck on the book Still Life...just can't get into this post war story (40's). The book in general is suppose to be about love and chosen family, but so far I find it confusing and boring. Hard to follow along. I am about 1/3 of the way through and still not feeling it. I hope the book gets better IF I can force myself to read it! All this to say, nice that everyone enjoyed your bookclub read pick!
ReplyDeleteStill Life is on our list for an April read. I hope it is not a struggle to read.
DeleteStill Life is a highly recommended book and gets rave reviews. Many people love it. I think my opinion likely has to do with preference and perhaps length of reading in one sitting vs the interest/quality of the book itself.
DeleteI will be curious to read your Still Life review after you read it! Hope you love the book :)
I'm so not prepared for Christmas stuff this year. Last year I thought I had it all under control. Nah, I didn't.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to be freshly moved and living in chaos sorting out my things at the new place by Christmas. :) Sounds like a good book. :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely going to look for this book. GM
ReplyDeleteJames Patterson is such a prolific author and now writing with various other authors. I'll have to look for the book.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is anxious for Christmas - as she says the pretty lights and sparkly ornaments keep the big sad away. We went through the tubs today and started making plans for decorating in the next couple of weeks. (I'd like to wait until after Remebrance Day though I'm sure the veterans in my family - my uncles wouldn't be upset either way).
It does look like a good book just by the title. All I have left is my cards. Shopping is all done, but I do still have to wrap everything. We'll celebrate with the London kids at Thanksgiving so I have to be done early.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Sounds like a good book. I'll have to check that one out!
ReplyDeleteI know you suggested this book before. This time I pulled the trigger. It should arrive next week. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing about your book club book. I just downloaded it from the Libby library app and will be reading it!!!!
