Fall Afghan

Remember this yarn?  It was supposed to be a Fall afghan.

I began the project but was not feeling the greens and blue.

In the "yarn store" upstairs I found some colors that made me say "Yes that is much better."

Progress is slow but sure.   I am pleased with the colors.  The pattern is called "Hush" and it is easily worked on while watching TV.   Lately I am watching Landscape Artist of the year for 2016 on Tubi.

FYI  the tote of yarn I sent up North is for the same pattern afghan...but it was all my left overs from other projects so it will be multicolor!

  4. You did pick the perfect colors for it. I really like that pattern. The one I shared the other day in the blog was the one that my mom first had ever made. It was a kit and she made many more after doing it. 1960s.

  8. I love watching Landscape Artist of the year on my Prime Videos. And, Portrait of the year as well. It fascinates me how different each artist tackles their subject to get it on canvas.

  15. Landscape Artist of the Year is one of my favorite programs on Tubi. I used the idea to take my grandchildren to a park and paint landscapes this summer! I do like the second series of colors for an autumn afghan. I like the first colors, too, but I don't think I would put them in the autumn family.
