AND it Snowed

It snowed and snowed.  Andy and Jen moved lots of snow...must be way over 8 inches of new snow and it is blowing around.  It is a blizzard.

I worked on cards and my Nordic Afghan was finished shortly before supper!!  Yeah me!  I will take a photo of it when it stops snowing.

Far Guy woodcarved.

Andy tore a hole in the wall upstairs made a doorway and put up shitrock and made the old opening into a wall...I suspect that custom cabinets will fill a huge walk in closet and this is just step one.

Jen sewed on her newest project.

One more day of windy crappy weather...the blizzard might be over by noon on Sunday.

How about a photo that is partially Springy as we remember that only the clocks are springing ahead.

Remember to change the batteries in your smoke alarms...I don't care if you say your batteries are not dead yet...spend the money on batteries...you are worth it.

  1. Stay safe and warm, and enjoy your various projects.

Our clocks don't change this week. Apparently it would be too sensible to change the clocks around the world at the same time, so ours always go forward about two weeks after yours and back about two weeks before; our clocks always change on the last full weekend of March for springing forward and the last full weekend of October for falling back.

  2. Yikes. We had about 3 more inches here but not blowing down in our spot.
    The woods are pretty again.
It is supposed to snow some more tonight and then blow around on the ridgetops.

I think March decided to come in like a Lion.

  3. I'm glad you reminded me about the dreaded DST. *sigh*
Still snowing here Sunday morning and blizzard windy.
Good day to stay inside to putter and nap. ;)

  4. We managed to avoid most of the snow. It blew like crazy but I don't think we had more than 2 inches in total, thankfully!

No springing forward here, but the reminder about the smoke alarms is a good one. Thanks!

  5. It snowed Friday and Saturday. Yesterday the wind blew. It's over for now. I dislike DLST and ignore it because I can. I eventually move into it.

  8. Our weather people were all excited that we were finally going to get snow. We had all kinds of color coded maps. I even got winter weather advisories on my phone. We got maybe an inch which melted as soon as it hit sidewalks and roads. I had to go out (had to- I had tickets to a tea party) and when I was driving home, salt trucks were out. It never got slick. I guess they wanted something to do. The gas in our snowblower continues to evaporate.

  11. No new snow here, but we’re sure getting the wind. It howled all night. And it’s still windy. Can’t wait to see your finished project.

  12. Church was mighty sparse this morning. I think a lot of people forgot the time change. I did see several people walk in very, very late!
I'm sorry about the snow. Yesterday we were supposed to have a wintry mix for several hours before turning to snow, 5-7 inches worth. We ended up getting the wintry mix as predicted, then it turned to rain and rained all day. Today is SO cold. Colder than it's been for a couple of months. It's crazy.
Glad you all have things to occupy yourselves. I'm looking forward to seeing your afghan.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  13. Still now snow here in northern Virginia - Just daffodils blooming, which is of course okay, and changing the clocks it now just feels more like it should be spring.

  14. Snow continues here as well. But rain is predicted for the upcoming week. That could take most of it away with any luck.
