Book Club

I had Book Club yesterday.  We read Karolina Dalca Dark Eyes by M.R. Noble. 

 

I give it a 3 out of 10.  I was not a fan and was thankful that it was a quick read.  It is a Vampire series...needless to say I am not curious what happens next. 

In Book Club everyone can recommend a book and two of the gals like Vampire books.  

Far Guy's infusion was longer yesterday so I had time to go to Hobby Lobby...see that box in the photo...it looked Springy to me!  Yarn was not on sale...so none was purchased...just the pretty box.

    Oh gosh, you took one for the team, having to plow through a vampire book. I am a voracious reader. But I am not a book club member. I am too set in my ways. I would certainly "have a headache" during science fiction/vampire month.

    I'm not a Vampire book fan either, I likely would have passed on that book.

    That is one reason I never join book clubs - I can't finish a book I just don't enjoy.

    I love sci-fi but not so much vampire and zombie stuff. I think I would have passed, too.

    I'll join the others who are not vampire fans. My DIL is a great one and reads voraciously. I'd have nightmares.

    Not a vampire reader. This is one of the reasons I quit my bookclub. Too many times I had to make myself push through a book I didn't like.

    Why was Far Guy's infusion longer? I'm still sitting with my husband during his infusion, though eventually I hope he feels confident enough to get it done without me.

    They had trouble getting the IV and then if the Pharmacy is backed up it is a wait for his Infusion to be mixed. They do not start to mix it until they have the IV placed.

    I like that springy box too! And like you, I do not like vampire books or stories. Warmer weather coming for us starting tomorrow!

    That box is pretty. Not a fan of the Vampire series either of any kind. Not a fan of romance novels either.
    However I do love to read.

    I admire you for persevering with a book you do not enjoy. I have to tolerance and give up! I just sent one back to the library half read and felt annoyed that I had wasted as much time on it as I did.

    I'm not a fan of vampire books or those walking dead people whatever they call them. Pretty box for sure!
