We all need a little good news

This week I happened along a web site that makes me smile.  It is  Secret Santa Stories.

If you need a smile check it out.   That Secret Santa is making a difference in many lives.

Thunderbird Convertible not sure what year.

Today is baking day around here...the house will smell great.  Yesterday I made more Chokecherry Jelly and did some house work...boring.   I watched The Bridges of Madison County on Netflix...I had not seen it before...I enjoyed it.  I finished up Virgin River and now I have to wait for a new season!

  2. Connie, you have a talent for finding things to do. I ma not very good at staying busy. I have lots of “started” projects.

  3. MMM. I should bake today. Maybe I will break out the chocolate chips and make us some cookies.

Our meal tomorrow won't be much of a big deal, but we will be together and enjoying it!

That is one cool car! Love the colors.
I can imagine your house smells wonderful. I hope to start the Christmas baking here tomorrow. Shortbread is always first on the list. :)

  7. Bob and I have adopted two seniors for Christmas. We have received info, backgrounds and wish lists. We have been enjoying searching ( both online and actual) for those "wishes"!!
One really loves plants and has asked for some on her wish list. Her "presents" have to be wrapped and ready to give by the 18th... how do manage that??

  8. I had read The Bridges of Madison County first and am often disappointed by the movie after reading the book. But I loved it when I saw it.

Have fun baking today. I have 3 grandkids here today, so I'm thinking we'll do a little baking here too.

  9. Baking day here too, but just one pie for me this year. Someone else is bringing the pumpkin pie.
I will be making cranberry sauce, turkey stock, and stuffing. The house will smell great. Happy Thanksgiving!

  10. I made cowboy pickles yesterday for our son-in-law for Christmas---12 pints. That ought to hold him for a spell!

  12. Don't you just love Virgin River? Can't wait for the next installments. As for Bridges of Madison County. I saw it ages ago and I remember thinking at the time, any actor but Clint Eastwood in that role! Happy Thanksgiving

  16. I have only seen episodes of the Bridges. One of the bridges burned by teenagers and my wife's second cousin took his own life over the situation. It kind of ruins it all for us. He was not the arsonist but he was with them. My sister-in-law lives in Winterset and use to give the tours of all the bridges.
