There was snow in the air when I laid down for my Sunday afternoon nap.
I woke up to snow on the ground. The wind howled most of the afternoon...so the wind chill is a tad chilly. Our high was 39 F or 4 C and it dropped from there.
This is our third snow but I doubt it will stay...we may have freezing rain by the end of the week...I would just as soon that it get cold enough to snow instead warm enough for freezing rain...typical Minnesota crappy November weather.
Far Guy turned most of the clocks back...I am certain there are a few of them that we forgot. Far Guy changed the batteries in the smoke alarms. The Carbon Monoxide detector needs a different battery and it is on our shopping list. I hate the time change....it takes me a week or two to adjust.
Far Side
I hate the time change, too.
ReplyDeleteTime change has my body clock messed up. I feel like I need to go to bed at 8 & I am waking up at 3am & can't go back to sleep. Ugh!
ReplyDeletebrrrr. You are reminding me of what lies ahead of us here in Virginia. It was 80 degrees yesterday and you were having snow! That's crazy!!
ReplyDeleteMe too! The time change is a real nuisance if you ask me. Takes me about a week.
ReplyDeleteThe cold wind howled here too yesterday. Someone's trash has blown into our neighborhood, as I see some on our lawn this morning. But no snow yet. We both appreciated our heated car seats last evening as we came home from an event.
ReplyDeleteNo snow! We didn't get the forecasted white stuff this week as it passed us by. Hallelujah! I hope we can continue that trend. It can pass us all winter if I had my way, although that might make the Christmas snow. people upset.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
I'm with you - I'd far rather it snowed than to have freezing rain. The latter creates havoc on the streets.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I'm grateful to live where we don't change our clocks. Apparently we did so for the first 6 or so years of my life but I don't remember.
Stay warm!
I dislike freezing rain. I also dislike wet snow which is what we ha on Nov.2

ReplyDeleteNo snow here in PA yet, but it's coming later on. Right now the temp. is in the low 70's. It won't last long, I'm sure.
It’s the third snow in Laramie as well, and thankfully all the white stuff has melted. The howling Fall/Winter winds have returned, too.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I vote to keep it the old way and forget Daylight Savings time. But, I understand I am just a vote of one.
ReplyDeleteWell we have enough cold and snow for everyone!
ReplyDeleteFor the last 14 years I lived where there was no time change, so it's taking a bit of an adjustment for me.
I shivered when I looked at your picture - so cold looking! I guess winter is knocking on your door just like summer is knocking on ours :)
ReplyDeleteCan’t believe you already have snow.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, definitely snow instead of freezing rain. We have a wicked east wind blowing today and causing us to have wind chills. The furnace is having trouble keeping the house warm. Stay warm if you can.
ReplyDeleteThe cat, the dog, and I do not like the time change either! Sleeping and eating is all out of whack and some of us are complaining loudly with food doesn’t appear at the old time. I guess we’ll all survive another time! I always enjoyed the first snows, but I know - it gets old fast!
ReplyDeleteSince we don't get up early, I did enjoy daylight at 7:30 this morning. I would be happy to stay at Standard Time year round.
ReplyDeleteIt's been cold and windy but we got some rain, no snow. I'm with you on the freezing rain. Just snow already.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason this year it didn't faze me....I woke up at the same time even though it was an hour later....crazy! But Miss Peeps wasn't fooled....her internal clock is spot on....she gets her treat at 4:00 p.m. so she was letting me know at 3:00! Animals are so smart!
ReplyDeleteSnow yes, freezing rain...NO! My clocks all change automatically except the car clock.
Stay warm!
Your snow looks pretty. We don't have any yet, thank goodness. Got a new furnace....they still can't get it to work. Ordered a new part...we'll see what happens. Using the fireplace to stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI'm finding it hard to adjust. I get really tired about 3PM in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteSince time only matters for appointments, we don't really get too excited about the change. I get up when I get up and sleep when I am tired at night.
ReplyDeleteI only have one clock on the stove that I bother with. There are no other clocks in the house. The microwave stays at 00:00.
:)
I hate the time change, too.
ReplyDeleteWe have a winter ice and snow storm coming. Could be a bad one.
Stay warm! :)
We are headed for crappy weather too. Not MN weather, but hard after the 70s of this week.
