We have been enjoying the warm for November weather. It was 66 F or 19 C yesterday and the sun was out...Far Guy said his solar collector (bald head) was working overtime.
I finished washing the windows upstairs, I did not get out the ladder and wash the outsides...but the insides are clean...no one ever looks out those windows anyways. Cross something off my list!
We had lots of company yesterday...my other baby brother, my baby brother and his bride and Baxter.

Brown season...it is here. So I am looking for hints of red in the leaves and pretending it is beautiful out.
ReplyDeleteYes, we are without flowers, too. Except for the occasional marigold and such. We are supposed to get really cold and windy. Sigh.

Our temps reached 78 yesterday and today may be similar. That is just crazy for November. I really hope we see plenty of snow this winter to help out the drought.

ReplyDeleteI love your flowers! The Japanese Beetles are the petals off of mine. I hate those equally as much as ticks.
ReplyDeleteActually I probably hate the ticks more because of how they ruin people's health but it makes me want to cry to see the Beetles attack the beautiful flowers. It's like a bully going after something fragile.
I have yet to spray chemicals because I don't want to kill pollinators but I am not winning the battle yet. I am only planting marigolds and red geraniums this next year because the beetles don't like those. Also, Four o'clocks are supposed to be toxic to the beetles so maybe some of those.
Isn't that warmish weather fantastic? I'm drinking it all in (and admiring the last of the leaves) where I live in New York State. Happy you are having warmish weather, too.

ReplyDeleteI think I finally picked my last bouquet, a few zinnias and marigolds, on Monday. The garden is being put to bed and frost may be on the way.

ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying unseasonably warm weather too. I love November!! Without it, I wouldn't be here. I think of November as the start of "see through (woods)" season :)
ReplyDeleteWe had our first real frost last night but the sunshine in the afternoon still had warmth. A few more last chores of the season got done.

ReplyDeleteWe still have a bit of red in the trees but most of the leaves are gone. It was almost 80 today and tomorrow is supposed to be upper 70's but Friday..40. I think our beautiful fall weather may be at an end.
