Windy in Paradise

Jen sent me a photo, she said it was windy there yesterday.

Here it is the dirty snow time of year, a little bit melty and a bit dirty on a pups feet... Far Guy says they are "love tracks"...I call them mud tracks.   It is the time of year that pet owners  I call good poop pickings in the backyard, hit them with a shovel and the frozen turds pop right up....not mushy at all!  Sadie runs like a wild dog through the yard doing her zoomies whilst I wander with my daughters garden spade and a bucket gathering treasures.   Sadie thinks it is great fun to have company in the yard, Little Elvis supervises from a distance until he gets bored and needs a nap.   The fresh air is great...temperatures were a high of  24 F or - 4 C eh!  Almost Spring like!

In other activities, I had a virtual Dr. appointment for my med refills, Far Guy had one also and I ran advisor on that one, cleaned the bathroom and washed several loads of laundry and cleaned up numerous love tracks.

We went out for supper at the Blue Moose with Adam and his gal friend early enough so not many people were in the restaurant.  Fun to get out for a change...nice that Far Guy got a night off of dishes.  Not exactly paradise but close enough.

  1. What a fun day cleaning up "dog poop" I remember doing that when I was a child. Going out to eat and no dishes is my idea of eating. Hahaha. Snowed here yesterday!

  2. The Blue Moose is an interesting name. It leaves room for imagination as to what kind of food they sell. We have one called The Angry Goat which is really a bar. It is fun to eat out once in a while.

  3. Your life sounds about like mine. It’s good for me to read about your low temps so I can quit griping about my pine.

  7. Even little blessings are welcome, like frozen yard cigars and zoomie dogs.
    And dinner out with family.

  8. Here it's the people tracking in the melt. The cars are parked in the garage but come in with snow in the wheel wells. The garage is warm enough the snow melts and spreads across the floor. I'm constantly cleaning up boot prints in the front hall as the mat doesn't cover it entirely. I won't call them love tracks either. :)

The resort your daughter is at is gorgeous. I absolutely love the blue seas of the Caribbean.

  9. I can almost see Sadie in her zombie state - ears flying and feet churning snow. Happy that you were able to eat out with Adam and his friend.

  10. With Dennis retiring soon, we're losing insurance so I spent the morning trying to find a new primary care doctor for me as the one we JUST found doesn't take the insurance that I'll now have since I'm not old enough for medicare yet. Fun times. We have a little fenced pen for Zoey so picking up her poop is easy enough. We just pick it up every time she goes.
Take care and enjoy the day.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  11. Rain puddle tracks here today, but it's a gentle rain that won't break the daffodils.
24 must seem downright balmy to you, nice to be outside.

  12. With 2-3 large dogs we have constant love tracks, smudgy windows and hair decorations on our, well, everything. I wouldn't have it any other way!! I am the poop scooper in our family. I agree, icicle pops are much easier to clean up and not as gross.

With wind like that in the tropics, you gotta watch out for falling coconuts! Ohhh the memories that brings back :))

  13. It does look windy in paradise but that ocean sure does look good! We like to eat out once in a while. We go early on a week day, like you did, and it is not too busy.

  14. I have a boot bucket next to the porch. At night I have to come up to the porch after chores and dip and scrub before I get to the porch.
Mud and pups. I do love the fact we have an easy floor to clean.

Charlie will stop when he comes in and let me towel his feet off. As super short low dog, he gets pretty wet and gooey.

    Frozen poops. Ha ha!

  16. Quiet, ordinary, love track, poop slapping days sound like paradise to me. (Remote doctor appointments helps, too--LOL!)

  20. I imagine anywhere you guys are together is paradise, but it would be nice if there was a palm tree nearby too.
