Tulips!

We have Tulips here...but they are not real!

They still remind us that Spring might be here!

The snow melted a bit more yesterday.  The high was 50 F or 10 C eh!  Not too bad for March!

Far Guy has been walking down the street and around the block.  Lots of people are out and about in the nice weather!  Sadie goes for a walk everyday, she has made a few new friends!

  1. No real tulips here yet either. But I did see something green trying to pop out at Church on Sunday. Yesterday our temps were in the 60's, sure hope this means we've seen the last of winter.

  2. Ahhhh, good for FG! I wish I could get you - know - who, to do the same but he isn't interested. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink? :)

    Looks like spring is arriving.
We are in for a few days of rain. It should help with the moisture levels we need!

  3. We’re farther south. I know because the sidewalks are full of people experiencing spring fever.

  4. I have some daffodils on the dining table like those tulips. Karen

  5. I have some silk tulips in my bedroom, but maybe I need to bring them out onto my dining room table. Spring flowers just make me smile even when they aren't real.

  6. No tulips here. My brother loved them. When he was young, Momma ordered bulbs for him and he made a tulip garden. When I see tulips, he comes to mind. I miss him, but his memory makes me smile.

  7. No flowers here yet either, but it started raining yesterday, (it's still raining), and I noticed this morning that there are tinges of green in the grass. Spring is here!

  8. The tulips are beautiful! Some of the HGTV show remodelers have used artificial flowers occasionally in window boxes and pots especially if the homeowner does not have a green thumb. The trick as you know is to keep them changed out and new-looking.
Very happy to hear Far Guy is feeling good enough to walk that much - - with the bonus of seeing a few others on his route.

  10. The tulips are so pretty. I saw Walmart has them in the store here, but I didn't buy any as my sunny window is taken up with plants and seedlings.

    Enjoy the lovely spring weather!

  11. I too am so glad to hear that FG is feeling well enough to walk a little. And it sounds like spring is coming even to your northern climes. :-)

  12. Bitter wind today, but hopefully warmer temperatures next week. Lately I’ve been walking on a treadmill because it’s been nasty outside.

  16. I've seen daffodils out but no tulips just yet. We need some sunshine to prod them along a bit.
