End of the week

I finally got the application for the Enhanced Drivers Licence accomplished.  We made the application in the nearby County Courthouse with no rules about when you could show up.  A Enhanced License serves as a Driver's License, Identification and border crossing for Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean.  My Passport Expires in January...it has only been used once.

I was happy to tie up this loose end and put it behind us. Cross something off the list!

Made a trip up North and got to go to Hobby Lobby and buy more yarn...apparently I am a yarn hoarder and there is no cure.  Far Guy had an errand to run over at the VA Office...he said "I could drop you off at Hobby Lobby for more yarn."  Alrighty then!

We helped put chair covers on chairs.  Jen and Andy were there helping also.


We had lunch and headed home for a long nap...it has been a week of early mornings and they are catching up with us.
Today is another busy day.

    I didn't know you still had to have your certified birth certificate if you had a current passport already. I've been using my passport but maybe I should also get one of those enhanced drivers licenses. I hope you get some rest soon, everybody needs it, including yarn hoarders. :-)

    We are headed to Hobby Lobby this morning. We are going to go painting somewhere soon. You can never have too many paint and brushes. We have been out to paint outside for 17 years.

    I love weeks when I get a lot accomplished, seems as if you had a very productive one too! I also enjoy being dropped off at one of my favorite stores, (Hobby Lobby, as well as the Christmas Tree shop).

    I can think of worse things to hoard, most assuredly. More yarn seems like a good thing. :-) I chose not to get an enhanced drivers license back with my last renewal. I don't anticipate going "off the homestead" much now... not that I ever did before. *lol* Love, Andrea xoxo

    When I went to renew my enhanced driver's I had forgotten that I'd need to bring our marriage certificate ( which is pasted into a scrapbook and awkward to take along ) so I just got the ordinary license which now I'm kind of sorry for. Guess I could pay and get a new license.
    How nice of FG to actually suggest you go buy more yarn!!

    Hooray you crossed something off your list! Good job! Far Guy knows how to entice you by mentioning the yarn at Hobby Lobby, which is also one of my favorite stores! Hope you catch up on needed sleep very soon. Ok, now I'm wondering why you're all putting chair covers on chairs? Did I miss something? Or maybe my brain is freezing up?     Good you got that license taken care of. Now you can venture into Canada and be sure the get back! Nice to see your granddaughter the day before her big day and lend a hand. I hope you found some nice yarn so you have projects on hand to occupy your hands when you get The Call and head south to the Big Cities.

    I'm a Hobby Lobby-ist also... a daughter-in-law says "meet me there" and I say "alrighty then!" But it's not yarn that calls me... it's art supplies, scrapbooking stuff, and other craft ideas. Basically, I just want the whole Hobby Lobby. LOL! My kids and grandkids have passports... guess I never heard of an enhanced driver's license. Good thing to have for you guys when that call is finally made! Keeping you guys in prayers as always!

    The enhanced driving licence is not accepted at airports in Canada anymore and even at border crossings to US by car you need a passport unless you have a Nexus border crossing ca d for those who make frequent crossings.
