June

Our nephew was by and took care of the majority of the new snow.  I think we got about 7 inches overnight.   Then it kept snowing….and I took a nap so who really knows for sure.  It is plenty of fill your boots kinda snow.

June is growing.  June is the name we gave the snowbank  in our yard.

June

The Grands have carved snow tunnels through June and played King of the Hill there with Chance.  June always disappears before June…but we still like to call her that.

I moved snow off the patio and the walk, and shoveled in front of one of the garages…and fed the birds.   I did not go to Bingo…the wind chill is very cold.

Schools were closed as was the Clinic in town.

  1. The cold is headed our way now. We've had a couple days of rain. A little river is seeping across our basement floor. It has been quite a few years since that has happened.

  2. Stay warm and inside! It was darn windy here yesterday and the storm we had must have brought in a cold front as it just got colder and colder as the day wore on.....from 57 yesterday morning to 16 this morning.

  4. We've got a couple rounds of snow and cold ahead, starting sometime today. I think June is getting quite fat and sassy. :-)

  6. It was bitter cold and windy yesterday; yet I saw many fools without adequate coats.

  7. That is a lot of snow. We have high winds coming, and maybe a bit of snow. Power outages are being mentioned. Stay safe and warm. I imagine you are wishing you were back in Hawaii!

  8. I need to go do my front walk. It isn’t a lot if that is all I do. Extremely cold and there is a layer of ice made from sleet under the snow. Biding our time.

  9. We went from almost shirtsleeve weather...I wore a flannel shirt yesterday for a jacket....and today the high is 29, which would not be so bad except the wind is off an iceberg! I like the idea of naming your bank of snow...I am glad June is gone before June arrives!

  13. It's now 7:30 Friday evening here, and we have just been dumped on again, about four inches here, with probably more to come. We may or may not shovel. At least it won't last until June here.

  14. I know you both are tired of being inside. Thankfully, you both have many hobbies you enjoy during this terrible cold. Have a blessed weekend.
