Red Lights

Last year we bought new lights after Christmas.  Neither of us could remember what color lights we bought…we knew they were not blue….cause we have had blue lights on our trees for many many years.  We needed a change of color. All our light stringers were old and needed to be replaced.

I can see now that a few lights should be rearranged.

Jinx whats the hold up

So far we only have lights…hey it is a start!

We had a busy day on Saturday, I ran errands whilst Far Guy was enjoying breakfast with classmates.  I joined them after my errands.  Then I made more Turtles…and worked on Christmas cards.  Made supper for my parents and my brothers and their brides….pizza, salads and you guessed it Turtles for dessert.

  1. We'll probably get our tree tomorrow. Today we are going to a musical, A Taffeta Christmas.

  2. I was planing on sharing with you that I found blue lights at Home Depot. They only had single colors of red and of blue. The new computerized lights are a fascination. A batch of lights look white and then in thirty seconds they switch to another color all over. I had all red lights for years too but my late wife decided that and I just changed to multiple colors because I could. Your tree looks great with just lights.

  5. I still can't find my lights! They must be hiding out with those quilts which are still missing! LOL! I love your tree but taking a picture is good because then you can see where things need to be rearranged. The lights are the hardest. After all that you had company? You're amazing!

  7. It usually takes me a few days to completely decorate our tree. I like an old fashion tree with multi colored lights and a variety of ornaments. But that red sure is Christmasy looking!

  10. We had just lights on our tree for three days. Today we finally put the ornaments on. We used to put our tree up and decorate it the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Now that it's just us we are a little slower at getting it done!

  12. The red is very pretty but it looks like MY husband put the lights on YOUR tree! Ha! He always bunches up lights and ornaments.
Your dinner with family sounds very nice. We also had breakfast out with friends on Saturday.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  13. Beautiful! I love your lumberjack hiding out in the tree! I have a string of red lights, I use them outside on the porch and can turn them on in the summer as the red doesn't attract bugs! I love your place, it looks so cozy.
