Crocheting some hats…the one on the upper right is done…it is a tad large…but comfy….and colorful! I love the colors!
The one in the lower right is for a child…maybe…we will see how big it ends up.
I felt like crocheting a bit and using up some yarn…I might be a yarn hoarder. Maybe. I have three hats in the works at one time…go figure!
A very long time ago I crocheted some mittens. I found that old mitten pattern on the internet…and may attempt a pair for Hey Mikey. I know when I made them for our girls it was wonderful to have several pairs of mittens.
Your yarns are lovely and I have not tried crocheting hats or mittens. I'm on my 3rd hat (knitted)and I would like to make some mittens but we'll see. The last time I tried they didn't turn out too well but they were knitted. Maybe I should try crochet. They would probably be thicker too. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking the other day about maybe making some winter hats with some good wool. I did that a few years ago and they didn't take long. I haven't crocheted anything in ages, but I used to love to do that, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteI can't crochet, though I can knit. I knitted myself a hat, scarf, and mittens set. Someone admired it so much I gave it to them, planning to make myself a new set. Except, I never did get around to doing so.
ReplyDeleteYour hats are just lovely. The yard is so colorful and bright. I love it. I need to make Miss Piper another pair of mittens. I made her a pair for her birthday, but she’s afraid she’s going to lose one. I told her I would make her a back up pair so it won’t matter so much if she loses one.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
The good thing about yarn hoarding is that it's also good insulation when it's not being used. 😊 Love the hats and how the yarn striped.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented in so many areas, Connie! Those are really warm looking.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I do a lot of sewing but I would like to learn to crochet. I like something to do while I watch TV and that sounds like a possibility *if* I can learn it!
ReplyDeleteI love the bright colored yarn!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work . I love looking at crocheted items . The colors that come out from different colored yarns. How it looks in the end. Well done, look forward to more.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting a project but all I know how to crochet are afghans. Which I could use one of, but I don't know if I want to commit to that much crocheting. Though it was nice when I made a big one to have all that on my lap in the middle of a cold winter. Hmmmmm........
ReplyDeleteLove the hats and the colors. :)
ReplyDeleteWarm and colourful crocheted hats... perfect for winter weather.
ReplyDeleteFrom all the comments I see there are many "crocheters" out there. I saw an ear warmer on the internet that looks like a crown so I had to try it. When I went to the free pattern, I was warned it was not a safe site so I took a photo and then copied it. Hats and afghans are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Yours are beautiful, by the way!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great cold weather activity.
ReplyDeleteI have been doing a bit of sewing but I never learned to crochet or knit.
Love your hats, especially the yarn, it is so colorful and fun! I've knitted two hats and have a third on my needles. I think the snow has a lot to do with my sudden need to knit!
ReplyDeleteLovely colours!
