In 1977 our girls were little. Trica was 5 and Jennifer was almost 2.
Both were tow-heads, their hair was very blonde and lightened even more during the summer. The puppy was a Boston Terrier named Annie that belonged to my parents. The photo was taken at Bass Bay Resort on the North end of Straight Lake. A fishing/family resort owned by my parents. They bought it in 1975 after spending the years 1952-1975 on the farm in Carsonville Township.
Aren't we all glad we took those pictures of our kids? Two cute girls!
ReplyDeleteCute picture. Looks like they would have been good huggers.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe that was more than forty years ago! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute those girls! 1975 just doesn't seem like that long ago but I know it is! Did your parents think farming or owning the resort was the most work?
ReplyDeleteBoth were lots of work, the resort a bit easier physically.
DeleteThat's a sweet photo. Bet there are lots of wonderful family memories surrounding that resort.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Jennifer and Annie were inseparable.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture. Did you enjoy the farm or the resort more?
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
I never lived at that resort just the farm:)
Delete77 was just yesterday. Right???? Cute kids. There were 4 of us in our family, all blond like that...back in the 50s.
ReplyDeleteMy brother, sister, and I all had white-blonde hair when we were little. My brother and sister's turned a golden blonde but mine turned a dark dishwater blonde--almost light brown--like my mother's. Gosh, they grow up so quickly!!
ReplyDeleteThey looked so sweet
ReplyDeleteI always like your Wistful Wednesdays.
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable little girls. And oh my goodness that puppy.....
ReplyDeleteSweet memories.
