We attended the 50th Anniversary celebration for my cousin Chuckie and his wife Mary Ann, we went shortly before the doings started to avoid most of the perfume soaked women that would be there.
We came home and Far Guy worked on leveling the road (getting rid of some ruts) and I put away rummage sale stuff and cleaned part of my garage. Far Guy came back and I tried my hand at leveling…I did just fine moving dirt from one area of the road to another…trying to level it out. It was a very humid warm day. 79 F or 26 C eh with 75% humidity.
I think you could tell what month it was in Minnesota by the color of the roadside wildflowers. Obviously, June is purple is June.

ReplyDeleteI'm just going to say...wow over and over again. I wish I had some of those! My zinnias and other seedlings are quickly growing and the iris's are fading as well as the peonies...next up are going to be the blazing stars I think. I love blues and I love riots of colors.

ReplyDeleteWhenever you use the word "bloomers" my mind goes to another type. I love these pretty flowers and think maybe I prefer this kind. :-)

DeleteWe get lots of blooms at this time of year and then they are gone as quickly as they came.
ReplyDeleteI used to grow Lupines but they were terribly affected by aphids so I dug them out. This year I bought two little plants that I hope will thrive and I'll be vigilant and watch for those aphids.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous color! My favorite color is purple so especially love your photos today. Humidity. Ick! That’s just one of the many things I love about the Northwest after living in the Midwest most of my life. We have little humidity in the summertime. :-)

ReplyDeleteI enjoy this color in flowers. We would always see the smaller version of campanula along the rocks at the north shore. They probably were not campanula but the were small bell shapes on a stem. I miss seeing the lupines along the highway at north shore highway.
