Seem a long way off this winter. It snowed again….and probably not the last time this winter/spring either. The muddy rutts are now frozen rutts. The days are longer but with the wind and the wind chills way below zero it seems that spring is never going to come…and summer well that is just a distant memory.
I took this photo last summer at The Dead Beaver Area. We just happened by there at the right time.
Even though the days are longer we have not begun our evening drives, Chance misses them…I do too but there is just snow out there. In April snow loses it’s magic…
I am still winter/spring cleaning kitchen cupboards. I had a good day and got a few more done the count is 21 out of 28. When I get them done I must spend a whole day washing everything in the open cupboards…and weeding out some of the extra dishes…it is a project for sure. I would rather winter/spring clean with the windows open but that won’t be happening anytime soon.
I know what you mean, I want to get out and do some yard work or something. We don't have the snow, but everything is frozen solid again. I have a tiny kitchen, but have been doing the same thing.
ReplyDeleteYou are almost done with those cupboards. I sure hope spring hurries up and comes to Minnesnowda! :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like that photo of iris. When I had a property in Minnesota we had a water spigot for feet washing before one could come into he cabin. I planted some of those there and they did survive for a few years. I never saw them bloom but the foliage was good.
ReplyDeleteWild Iris? April snow... bah humbug.
ReplyDeleteI'm eager to open doors and windows, too: the house smells stuffy. At least you're making progress on the kitchen deep cleaning.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful photo of the irises. Wow, you are really coming along on those cupboards. Must be very satisfying.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful photo, and a promise that there is hope for summer to come.
ReplyDeleteWe are experiencing a rain and wind storm today that has me house bound. With my cupboards already sorted, I am wondering how to pass the time.
Excellent photo!
ReplyDeleteMy very favorite flower.
ReplyDeleteI guess you can tell my comments
from the Bennie's???
he should sign them The Bennie:) Yes I guessed as much! :)
DeleteNice picture. I'm not familiar with that area. I need to take a day trip.
ReplyDeleteYup. Too cold to have the windows cracked open for more than a few minutes for fresh air. It's 17 degrees right now at 1:00pm so it's not going to get much warmer today. You are doing great with your cupboards, though! :)
ReplyDeleteYou've been keeping busy. I hope that snow disappears soon.
ReplyDeleteThe pic of the Iris is gorgeous! We don't have the snow and cold, but instead an awful lot of rain.
ReplyDeleteOh looking forward to spring flower - summer flowers!!! I am thinking my Snow Stick Guess will be now not be very close :) Hubby ran the snowblower today the driveway was becoming snowed in.
ReplyDeleteI am becoming cranky with the late spring! Imagine me cranky!!!
ReplyDeleteFlowers are so lovely
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying lovely weather and happy birds for quite a while. It is hard to know that my friends still have snow and and nasty weather. I hope your spring arrives very soon!
ReplyDeleteWe had snow yesterday, but I can discern spring in the air. That photo is lovely!
ReplyDeleteIf the windows were open you'd have to be outside cleaning up the yard! LOL! I'm sure you are tired of it but your weather is more exciting. We are just overcast and gloomy.
