Snow

We got just about 5 1/2 inches of snow.  It made everything look all pretty again.

We need the moisture but this was a real dry fluffy snow…you couldn’t make a snowball to save your life.

Snow Feb 20

We walked outside and shoveled some snow.  I made a path for Chance so he doesn’t have to drag his belly through the snow to do his duty.  My nephew Josh was by to plow us out twice…I just had to finish up in front of the garages.

We worked on taxes and they are ready to go to the accountant.

I have been playing with beads and making more eyeglass holders.  I enjoy making them.

Far Guy is working on his steps and getting stronger.  Chance had a short bout of pancretitis again for about 24 hours…but he is all better now.  Old dogs…a real challenge to keep healthy.  This time it was a piece of chicken with breading that made him ill.

  2. I wish you could package up the snow you shovel and send it to me.

Glad you're having fun with more craft projects. I'm also glad Far Guy is doing well, and Chance recovered quickly.

  3. We don't have much snow, we did get about an inch of rain on Monday and Tuesday with some ice. I would have preferred snow.
Sounds like you have your hands full. Glad Chance is doing better!

  4. We got the rain instead of snow - a lot of flooding happened as the snow was melting along with all the rain. Glad Far Guy is steadily improving and Chance recovered quickly. I love the picture of the snow in your yard. Patiently waiting for Spring.

  5. We've had it all as rain and it sure feels like 5 1/2", but I don't have the gauge up to know. What a flooded mess.

  6. Pretty, but BRRRR. Glad to hear Far Guy is improving. I know what you mean about aging pets.

  7. It sounds like cold temperatures when you can't make a snowball. Nice pictures, though. Glad to hear your guys are getting better every day.

  8. We had the snow just before you. There was lots of shoveling to do. Now it's been brutally cold.

  9. Glad you got plowed and shoveled out. We got about 4 inches here, I think. I love how clean and white it looks. You're description is perfect--so cold and snow so dry you can't even make a snowball. I love squeaky snow. :)

Poor Chance. Must be hard for him not to get people food treats much anymore. Glad FarGuy is doing better every day. Still sick over here, too.

  10. Ah yes.... fat. It makes pancreatitis flare up horribly. We had two Standard Poodles that I had to make homemade, nearly fat-free, dog food for. Both dogs were thin but relatively free of the pancreatitis symptoms because of the special diet I made for them the last 8 years of their lives. I don't miss those days of having to make homemade dog food but I sure do miss them. Enjoy your snow... spring is almost here! Lovingly~ Andrea xoxo

It was nice of your nephew to help you out.

  12. That is a pretty snow, but I sure hope we don't get any more. It has been so warm here, the daffodils and some of the spring flowering bushes are in bloom. We've had enough rain too.

  13. Don't know how you have the patience to work with those tiny beads! Looks beautiful, though.

Glad Far Guy is gaining strength. Step by step...

  14. Beautiful snow and so nice of your nephew to plow you out. Love your beading! Chance and I should live together and be on the same diet! LOL! Although, mine has gone away and I even got brave and had a little butter and ranch dressing on my potato last night and so far so good. Supposedly it's fatty foods that aggravate it. I wonder if he would like my black bean dip (without the garlic of course)! LOL!

  15. Even to get out to shovel this seems to be a very confining winter. I take Barney out a lot because he can’t go out on his own. He can’t walk down to the back yard because it is a steep incline. He needs me anyway to be his eyes. He does good for all that he has going on. I still use the ramp for him and he is getting really slow now. I am glad we got to a house with good places for him to live.
