Knocking on wood

Far Guy is breathing easier, the Doctors said his breathing would improve as his blood thins out.  We had another shower date and I am getting better at helping him shave ( he still shaves the old way …shaving creme and razors).  We walked down the hallway in the hospital and he finally has a bit of an appetite.  Knock on wood he is improving.

I told him I am not up to another scary trip to the ER anytime soon.  Three times is enough for me.  This last time I was doubtful that I would make it there before calling 911.  I might have driven a tad over the speed limit…maybe.

I am tired, Chance is lonely…but we are encouraged that Far Guy’s breathing is finally better.  He has Nurses that are easy on the eyes, a very comfortable bed and good food when ever he wants it.

  4. I hope he's home soon, and that it's a very long time before any further trips to the hospital for either of you.

  8. Your blog is the first one I read now and sometimes the only one as I have my hands full here with a sick kitty who has to have pills and be fed with a syringe every 2 hours...but I make sure I read your post so I know how you guys are doing. Glad to hear he is improving even if it is only baby steps. Glad to hear he is getting such good care too. Remember to take care of yourself!

  11. The pictures of Chance walking up the road (last post) and then walking back are so touching. Looks like he is missing and waiting for Far Guy. I sure hope he continues to improve. You take too, and hug Chance for me, will you?

  15. We are all breathing easier for Far Guy, too. Keep it up, but don't be in any rush. No relapses allowed ;)

  16. Good that Far Guy is in the hospital being watched and cared for. Now, you need to have some down time (like sleeping, eating, having a shower, going for a walk, napping, resting, drinking tea...). Hugs for you both and Chance too.
