Happy Valentines Day!
At our home we celebrate love just about everyday… a hug, a kiss, a wink, a kiss thrown in the air with a smacking noise…or just a knowing glance exchanged…I try not to roll my eyes too often….he knows what that means too. Many times we will be thinking the same thing…this is our 50th Valentine’s Day together. ( We dated for 2 plus years before we got married.)
Has our love changed over the years…yes…it is less demanding and more accepting, thankful instead of taken for granted…we are most happy to be spending this Valentine’s Day togther.
When Far Guy was in the hospital I was going to run some errands…he told me to walk down the card aisle and pick out my valentine card…I said “Well I will read lots of them and then stroll down the chocolate aisle and then go by all the flowers.” He thought that was a grand idea!
Happy Valentine's Day, you two lovebirds! 50 years of Valentines is a nice record to have. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteIsn't love grand. Happy Valentine's Day to you and Far Guy. May your love for each other grow deeper and stronger every day.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that the 2 of you have another Valentine's Day together. I have been married 47 years & have told my hubs often that I think they are recycling the cards because there seems to be nothing new. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to hear FG is home and his sense of humor is intact. Happy Valentine's Day to the both of you! :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful, wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day to both of you , everyone should be as you two are to each other. Great example of true love.
Happy Valentine's Day. I like the flag.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds exactly like what my Dad used to do, when he couldn't go out for himself and buy Mom something for whatever holiday. He'd say "Lena, you go and pick out something... from me." Dad's been gone 31 years yesterday and I still miss him as much today as I did the day he died. Happy Valentine's Day. Lovingly~ Andrea (formerly of "DanMyMan and Me" and now at my new blogger "home" The Feminine Energy) xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! How wonderful. We're off to treatment tomorrow. Lotsa fun!!!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! Happy Valentine's Day to you guys!! :)
ReplyDeleteWell this is the sweetest Valentine message I've ever read. Happy Valentine's Day to you and Far Guy...oh, and Chance too. Around here it's just another day.
ReplyDeleteYou made me smile!!! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteWe do things every day to show we love each other too, and don't tend to do much to celebrate Valentine's Day, because we don't really feel we need to.
ReplyDeleteLove it that Far Guy still had his sense of humour while in hospital! Sounds like Valentine's Day here. Our 38th one together. I often find that we can be thinking the same thing at the same time as well. Weird but kinda neat ;-)
ReplyDeleteHugs to all 3 ! Happy Valentines Day with LOVE.
ReplyDeleteJoy
Happy Valentines day. You two have made a great relationship that other would envy.
ReplyDeleteTim has always said he doesn't need a special day to tell me he loves me
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day to both of you --- and Chance too!
ReplyDeleteYes, hang on tight to each other. You have weathered another storm, and the love shines through.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! As to the warfarin I thought I was the only one refer to it as rat poison. Once when Baron ate box of DCon I called the vet who assured me that he would have had to eat a case of it to be harmed and pointed out to me that half the men in our town over fifty we consuming the stuff...:)
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to spend this Valentine's Day together, too!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you are able to spend this Valentine's Day together and at home!
