We gathered. Jen, Andy and the boys came on Christmas Eve and Trica, Richard and the girls on Christmas Day.
Here they are… our “Grands” that light up our lives. We were thankful that Savannah was able to join us this year. Paige spent Christmas in the Florida Keys…we missed her. She called us, cause she missed us too.
“Grands” plus one “GREAT”
Mikey seems to like the tall boys and looks at them in complete adoration!
hey Mikey!
Mikey can sit up by himself. We got him a toy train with zoo animals that has lights and sounds and should drive his parents and grandparents a little nutty. He liked the wrapping paper just as much as his gifts!! Mikey is seven months old.
Savannah
Maddie
Noah and Little Elvis
Adam
We are thankful for those who were able to join us.
Our weather turned really cold. It is was –25 F or –31C eh! with a wind chill of –45 on Christmas Day in the morning. We are in the deep freeze and won’t be getting out for at least a week…maybe longer. Day time high temperatures will not break the zero mark. Good thing we have a well stocked pantry and freezer…we will not be venturing far from home.
It's been fun to see your grandchildren grow up over the past 10 years or so. Mikey is growing and changing so fast. I cannot imagine temps as cold as you are experiencing. Will you be working on crafts etc. during the deep freeze?
ReplyDeleteWhat a 'great' family and I can't believe Mikey is 7 months old!?! Where did those 7 months go? It seems like he was just born a few weeks ago! BTW...the 'collage' I was asking about yesterday....LOL! I just figured out it was the reflection in the window of your living room! LOL! Old age is really fun if you can laugh at yourself. Every day is a new adventure in aging! Glad you had a great Christmas and enjoy your full larder and staying inside!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are really in the deep freeze! Seems just like yesterday that Mikey was born- wow time flies.
ReplyDeleteIt is always fun to see your grandchildren. They are such nice, kind, friendly looking group of kids and that is so special! Mickey is the cutest!! Hope you all had a very nice Christmas! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! You have a beautiful family. we are in the same deep freeze as you are - just not as cold. It is only -22 wind chill here. Keep warm

ReplyDeleteBrrr! Now that is cold. Glad you are all safe and sound inside your warm home. Mikey is growing so fast, and he's just about the most adorable little guy I've fallen for in awhile. :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch fun to see photos of the Grands and a Great: the tradition continues. Little Elvis is photogenic.
ReplyDeleteWe're in a deep freeze too but not as cold as yours...mostly in the teens.
ReplyDeleteSeven months old already--OMG!!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was super cold and is staying that way. So glad the kids ventured out in that weather. They look dressed for it--brrrr!
Happy New Year! Stay warm and safe. :)
Family makes for a great Christmas. You are colder than us and yes no break in sight.
ReplyDeleteThose Minnesota Winters! Ugg! -45 wind chill is cold! Even by Alaska standards. ( it was never very windy in Fairbanks... a long time ago) Best thing to do is become like the bear and stay in a warm place... and sleep. A lot!
ReplyDeleteGlad that the family was able to make it with weather like that! David and Melissa are happy to be missing the similar temperatures in Edmonton right now. Mikey is growing up so fast! A cutie :-)
ReplyDeleteThose Grands just keep on growing up!
ReplyDeleteBrr...talk about a cold snap! Glad you had family to warm up your Christmas, but totally understand not wanting to go out in those temps! Lovely family photos.
ReplyDeleteThe grands keep growing. The house is smaller as they all get bigger. So Savannah is the oldest and it was good she could be there. The guys are going to be taller than everyone. I like Mikey, he is at such a fun age now as he gets into everything. They grow fast now with the walking. Our youngest loves the stairs and just shoots up them with a breeze. Our Illinois kids changed their minds about coming to visit so we are sending out presents now. Getting to see them at Thanksgiving was great. I can't believe how cold you are up there. Take care.
