We now live off County Highway 26. Sounds foreign as we have lived off State Highway 225 for many years.
It is a change that will take some getting used to. I think they should have just called it Old Hwy 225. Last week all the signs were changed.
I wonder how long it will take Google Maps and all those fancy direction apps to catch up.
My Dad is out of the hospital and was happy to be home.
I haven't even notice the new road number signs. It will always be 225 to me. Glad your Dad is back home.
ReplyDeleteSO glad your dad is home and doing good.
ReplyDeleteWill you have to change all your bank account and so forth ID cards. That is the biggest pain of all.
No changes for us, because we don't live directly on the Hwy:)
DeleteGlad to hear your Dad was dismissed from the hospital.
ReplyDeleteI don't deal well with change, so a "new" highway number would throw me off for a while.
It's good to hear your dad is home..home is most healing!
ReplyDeleteWe had to deal with a new address and it took SOME time, let me tell you.
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear your Dad is home and feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThose changes mess up people who used to live there
ReplyDeleteGreat news about your dad being home now.
ReplyDeleteGlad your dad is back home. I don't think I've been on Hwy 226.
ReplyDeleteYay for your dad! And yeah, I wonder how long it will take for the electronics to catch up. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt will also be 225 to me. Glad you posted this I will pay attention the next time I go to town - we haven't noticed the new signs but I do recall seeing a sign missing (just two stakes) sometime this past week :)
ReplyDeleteYes one went missing and it was NOT me although I was tempted:)
DeleteI missed the post about your dad's medical emergency. I'm glad he is back home. Your parents will remember that birthday!
ReplyDeleteWhy do they change things like that? Crazy or just a way to keep the highway people busy? I need to stay up to date with you....I did not know your Dad was hospitalized....so glad he is out!
