The Grandgirls gave us some garden stones for Christmas. They made one for Chance too.
I talked with Savannah and decided that they should be sealed. So that was one of the projects for yesterday.
Now they are all ready to put out in the spring. Spring…seems so far off.
Some of the roads are still not great. We ventured out to go to the dump and to recycle.
In some areas the snow banks are quite high. This is the most snow we have seen in a few years.
We will warm up this next week and it may rain again. Crazy stupid weather anyway.
We snowblowed…with the ice under a layer of snow that stupid ass machine wants to dig down and spin it’s tires. We got the worst of the snow moved…Chance has a spot over toward the edge of the woods to poop and the bulk of the snow was removed from the patio.
Garden stone are gorgeous - I can't figure out how they are made!

Pretty garden stones. I especially like the dragon flies. I have one with the twins' handprints when they were 1 that I see every time I walk out the door.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of snow. And I know how much work it is to clear it away!
The garden stones are beautiful. Such nice gifts. The snow can go anytime now. I'm tired of doing the don'twannafallandbreaksomethingshuffle.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift idea especially for both of you and Chance too. They are really pretty and they put a lot of thought into that gift! I just think that is the neatest! What thoughtful grand girls you have!
ReplyDeleteThe one thing about those big piles of snow is if you start to slide you can just head for one! Preferably one without a tall pole sticking out of it.
The stones are very cool....your Granddaughters are very artistic!
ReplyDeleteWhat great garden stones. Hate snow, except in pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt's rained here for five days...most snow is all gone. The fog is thick and I'm sick of the gray skies.
ReplyDeleteCome on SPRING!
Linda
Snow piles everywhere in my area, too. I'm trying to accept them as part of the landscape because they'll be here for at least three more months. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteThe garden stones are lovely. Got a spot picked out for them?
What absolutely lovely garden stones!! Now that's a special handmade gift and perfect for you guys. I like the snow. We'd been light on snow for a few years. But the ice--awk!! 20 degrees is going to feel like spring! :)
ReplyDeletePretty stones! And what a nice gift for grandparents.
ReplyDeleteI love the garden stones so pretty . We have no snow at all here looks like spring here already and it have had sunny days rainy days mild and cold days this week mid week it is to be a balmy 50F or 10C eh ?! I am loving it at least Miggs and I can get out for our walks and not be cooped up like most winters . Thanks for sharing , hope the rains melt some of your snow . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrr.....
ReplyDeleteThe garden stones certainly do bring a promise of green grass, blue skies and pretty flowers. What a fun gift!
Very pretty stones! You just reminded me of a joke I saw on Facebook: "Don't ever make snow angels in a dog park. Trust me on this." Hahaha! :-)
ReplyDeleteOK, backing up to the images of those pretty stones instead of the dog poop.
ReplyDeleteI like those garden stones your grands made. Not quite sure how they made them though.
ReplyDeleteThose garden stones will sure brighten up the indoors until you get the chance to put them outside in the spring!
ReplyDeleteI am reading this late but I can appreciate the frustration of the season. It is never easy to get through winter but this one seems to be throwing us a lot of bad curves. I think our spring thaw is coming soon but that won't last for very long.
