Package

My husband got a package in the mail from an old friend.

Gene and his new toy

He was trying to attack me and my camera.  Can you tell he thinks it is great fun to stalk me?

It is a flying thing/Gyrocopter and kept him occupied for quite some time.

Flying gyrocopter

Flying in the kitchen

It is hard to photograph in flight, it will give me practice on moving objects!

Chance retreated to the bathroom to den up.  It is his safe place.

It was cold…it is still cold.   The wind is just raw.  No matter the weather Chance still needs to be walked. He loves to eat snow and can spend part of his potty time crunching down snow and sniffing the air.  Not wonderful activities for the person walking the dog.

Not sure what I did yesterday some sorting…some laundry…some straightening up…and the day was gone just like that.

  2. I love how Far Guy is smiling playing with his new toy - my hubby would love to have one of those. I also feel for you having to walk Chance in this miserably cold and raw weather. I see how my neighbors are bundled up when they walk their dogs. Brrrrrrr Keep warm and safe. Have a great weekend.

  3. Wow, that looks like fun! I'm glad FG has a new toy to take his mind off of his continuing pain. But Chance? He's probably wondering what the heck that thing is! :-)

  5. Trying to attack you was probably the most fun of all. :) It looks warm and cozy inside your place. I sure know what you mean about the days getting gone.

  6. The Writer says, Can I have one? Huh? I said only if I get equal flying time. What a fun gift.

  8. Those flying contraptions are quite fun I hear.
I have days that pass by so quickly I wonder what I did all day, too. Puttering. Just puttering. LOL!
Stay warm!!! It's been dreadfully cold for so long. Might get up near freezing next week. 20s will feel like spring. ;)

  9. Love the smile on Far Guy's face. It is fun to have a new toy and I can see why he likes it but I bet Chance doesn't care for it.

  10. FarGuy is having fun! So what is the difference between that and a drone? A camera on it? I can't imagine have to spend much time outside in your weather. Next week we are back to our more usual rain and mild temperatures. It might be quite a mess for a while unless a nice mild wind gets blowing to take the snow away quickly. I know what you mean about the days passing so quickly, I feel like I am accomplishing nothing.

  11. What fun! Looks like just what he needs to brighten his day. Stay warm when you are out with Chance. We have an ice storm moving in here so we are not going anywhere!

  13. That gyrocopter looks like a lot of fun. I'm not surprised that Chance went to hide in the bathroom though.

  14. At -40 or 50 or whatever it may be there now, frostbite has to be a real concern. Do you have Eskimo parkas with face fur or face masks and layers upon layers of tops and pants and socks and boots?
Of course FG can just stay inside and play with his new toy. Watch out!

    1. We have down filled parkas. I layer a top and a sweater. I have super insulated snow pants but then when I walk I go swish swish. My boots are very warm...Uggs lined with sheepskin.

  17. Great picture! You could tell he was having fun! There's still the child in all of us....it just takes the right thing to bring it out. Better practice your "ducking" skills! LOL!
