First I had to learn about the camera. That was fun, I especially like the pano view. Someday maybe I will use it for a photo other than Far Guy laying around. So far so good. The camera is not too bad.
This is my desk pre retreat. Last year I went for only a day, this year I am planning on three days. God willing and the creek don't rise.
Far Guy bought me that Right Brain book for my birthday. So far I have only read in it... No drawing yet. I will leave it home.
So far this newfangled way of blogging is ok. I guess the real test will be IF it publishes when it is supposed to.
I hope you have a good weekend! I made vegetable soup for the retreat and that is the extent of my cooking for the weekend.

Far Side
Good for you! I still haven't mastered the skill of blogging on my iPad. I like a real keyboard, for one thing, and I can only put the pictures on it that I take with it. Maybe I'll try again. This works great for you. :-)
ReplyDeleteI blog all the time using mine, but, I haven't figured out how to download pictures.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to blog on the iPad. I hope you'll share your experience with those of us who struggle.
ReplyDeleteI started using my iPad to blog when I was traveling and now I use it all the time. I use an old app called Blogsy which is super easy, especially for photos. You can place photos in different positions horizontally on the page and size them any size you want. You can also easily place text around the photos.
ReplyDeleteI hope God is willing, the creek don't rise, and bless your pea-pickin' heart, I hope you have agreat time!
PS. Blogsy is a free app.
DeleteI need to get Blogsy, as Cynthia suggested. The app I use is not so hot. I get frustrated when I try to use the iPad for blogging. I much prefer the computer.
ReplyDeleteFunny, I have that book also - and haven't gotten that far in it!
Have a great weekend. Not cooking sounds lovely!
I did a work shop of art call Right Brain and we used that book.
ReplyDelete----- I LOVE MY Ipad!-----
Glad the Ipad blogging worked for you :-) Have fun at the retreat!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite saying: God willing and the creek don't rise"!
ReplyDeleteVegetable soup sounds like a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI don't have an ipad but I do have Dagan's old nexus tablet. I've never tried posting a blog from there. Glad it worked for you so that you can blog on your retreat...if you have time. ;) Enjoy the retreat!!
ReplyDeleteI have that Right Brain book, too. I've had it for years but I haven't read it. I should have put it in the library book sale. I'm trying to get rid of books but I find it hard to let go of any of them. I took two boxes of books to the sale and came back with 9 books...2 for grandsons, the rest for me. I figure I am ahead about by one and a half boxes of books. I won't ever make much of a dent in my book collection if I don't start dumping more.
ReplyDeleteWell, your post and photos are here. I like the ipad camera. I don't like the tiny keyboard and I haven't learned to type with thumbs.
ReplyDeleteSuccess! I still blog using my old computer.....I don't even own an ipad. I'm old-fashioned I guess.
ReplyDeleteOur son and his wife have an iPad. The told our oldest grandson that he could play with it once his grandparents were gone. Typical of a 3 and a half year old, he tells us we needed to leave. My son used the iPad to give me directions to get through the turnpike mess down by the toll road interstate. I keep missing it and I now see the way that it is designed I will probably miss it fifty percent of the time. You get the thing figured out and blog quickly with the pad.
ReplyDeleteI just got my tablet working again but have never tried blogging with it....I should. Good for you and I hope you have a wonderful time!
