I like yellow. The color is so warm and welcoming.
Yesterday I looked at the bunches of roses on my way into Wally World…the coral and red roses were beautiful but I liked the yellow ones the best.
Perhaps that is why I smile everytime I glance over at the wild gardens this time of year! I planted just a few plants about 17 years ago and just let them reseed at will.
Soon the Liatris will show some color..purple will just add to the yellow show!
I miss being able to bring flowers into the house. From the years spent in the Greenhouse neither of us can handle flowers or plants of any kind in the house…we both come down with a scratchy throat/coughs and congestion within a few hours. So we enjoy our outside plants even more because they don’t make us sick.
Today I am off to the Doctors Office for consult for a small procedure…at least I hope it is small. Perhaps it will require several office visits or one big visit…time will tell. Nothing to worry about just one of those old lady things. At least I hope it is nothing to worry about…I never wasted a worry about it until now. I made the appointment about three months ago…some specialists are really busy.
I love yellow also, but I still love the purple the best. Petunias, morning glories, I love the purple, even in the chicory weed! I am glad that it is only a small procedure and nothing to worry about!
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best for you doctor's visit. It's tough that the waits are so long to get in. Many years ago, I knew a woman who named one of her daughters Liatris after the flower.
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best at your doctor's visit today. Your yellow flowers are very pretty. Yellow is such a cheerful color; I love having rooms painted in yellow.
ReplyDeleteI always think of you when I see yellow flowers. I also wish you the best at the doctor's office, from one old lady to another. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis old lady - me - has had several "old lady" procedures and everything has always turned out alright. Good wishes to you!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wonder about Dr. appointments....you could die before they have an opening. Hope everything is just routine...nothing BIG!

Hope the doctor visit goes well.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was very young I loved black and very dark colors like navy and dark brown. I went through many pastel years as an adult. But I've really gotten into rich deep colors the past decade or so. Love the blues, greens, teals, and purples together but am surprised how much I am loving yellows and oranges, too--which I never used to like, even in art projects. Red has always been my favorite accent color since I was a kid, though. What color notebook--red. What color fountain pen--red. But it was only recently that I bought actual red furniture or wore red--LOL! You made me think about how my choices of colors has changed over the years in my home and even clothes. I still buy some pastel clothes, but my closet is mostly filled with deeper colors now and I have splashes of color all around my home. Not that there isn't black, brown, and navy in there--LOL! Funny how tastes can change over the years. :)
I like yellow too - because it really is such a happy color! Good luck with the "old lady thing" and hope it isn't a big deal.
ReplyDeleteHope everything goes well with the doctor's appointment. I love the purple and yellow of the prairies this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI too love yellow flowers! Those are lovely.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, all my best...love yellow flowers blessings ..Francine.
ReplyDeleteI love yellow flowers too. That is why I bought a yellow bouquets this week at the grocery store. And a bit of purple mixed it is the best. I am thankful I don't suffer from flower allergies. I would hate giving up my fresh bouquets.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I don't have to choose one particular colour of flower because I love pretty well all of them. Yellow seems to greet the Spring though, with the Forsythia, then the Daffs then now in summer the brown-eyed Daisies are rampant. Lots of colour.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well at the doctor.
I love your wild flowers. I wish I could grow rudbeckia. I guess our winters are too wet and I don;t have enough sun and heat in my yard.
ReplyDeleteI hope the doctor's visit went smoothly and you are fine.
ReplyDeleteyup still kicking:)
DeleteYellow is such a cheerful colour- it is usually the first flower of spring (dandelion) which makes us smile after the boring colours of winter. I have yellow blotch pansies that delight me, and I love to pair them with blue lobelia.
ReplyDeleteI hope your doctor's appointment went well.
I love your wildflowers. They are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well with your consult. God bless.
