We finally had one lousy Robin high in one of the Oak trees singing it’s heart out last evening.
This not so great photo is the proof!
We also watched a Bluebird.
Along our nightly route we saw a Hawk and then Turkey Vultures devouring a Raccoon carcass. No deer but our ride may have been a tad early for them.
We had a beautiful day, it was about 58F or 14C eh! Far Guy was busy all day long with outside projects. I Spring Cleaned the Dining Room, it would have been done before but my Cook Book Collection required some extra
So glad that Robin I sent your way found your house okay. I gave him explicit directions. haha Really I am happy they finally arrived in your yard.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful when the birds come back! Be sure to keep the cats away. They are also aware when this happens in the spring!
ReplyDeleteThe first robin! My mom always baked a special pie from fruit specially frozen for the occasion the past summer (usually peach) to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteYAY! You have robins!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda
Do glad the robins arrived safely! I have a great singing songbird in one of my trees but I'll be dipped if I can see it even with zoom lense. He sings his little heart out and he has quite a variety of tunes too! LOL! Oh, I love bluebirds and robins!
ReplyDeleteAh Spring, I'm feeling happy for you!
ReplyDeleteWhen the red, red robin comes bob, bob bobbin along!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous of the bluebird. I know they are out there but they don't come into town.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you clean like I do--LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe grass really got green over here with the days of drizzle--wow! :)
Wonderful! The Sandhill Cranes have arrived at my place!
ReplyDeleteAfternoon, finally. a Robin, Spring is here!!!!! Francine.
ReplyDeleteThat is the problem with spring cleaning...getting caught up in reading or looking at pictures!! We have had robins for a few weeks here in Kansas!
ReplyDeleteYou finally spotted a robin! That's great. I think you ar following the 'rules' of spring cleaning. We have to stop and read the cookbooks and look through photos, and watch for robins, etc. It'll get done when it gets done. I'm trying to spot a Sandhill Crane. I've seen them two years in a row in the same spot near a nearby lake. Nothing so far, but the watching is fun.
ReplyDeleteLots of robins here but I expect most of them will move north and some very far north to the Arctic coast.
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO ! Spring birds have arrived there , and your temps have warmed up to that's awesome . Really puts a spring in ones step when we can all get out and enjoy nice weather and nature . Thanks for sharing , have a good day !
ReplyDeleteOh good! You need spring to be happening!
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Spring has arrived!!! It has arrived here as well...finally :)
ReplyDeleteA Robin, a Bluebird, a Hawk and a Turkey Vulture!!! I'm quite jealous. I thought we had a Robin building a nest in the back yard but now I don't see him ( or her) so not sure if they're still around. Hope you have a long string of beautiful days!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear your robins have returned!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous day you had. Love the robins and blue birds. I like to "read" my cookbook collection, too!
ReplyDeleteFinally! Every time I hear or see a robin around these parts, I think of you and wish you could see it. Whew! The wait is over. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt got up to 18C. in Thunder Bay on Wed. Wow! We've had robins for a few weeks now.
ReplyDeleteBut yesterday we saw the first Juncos.
