Yes, you heard right…it is my turn. Finally when was the last time you heard from me anyway? TOO long ago.
Anyways I am here to report it was turdy below F, that might be about turdy four below C. It is cold. I have embraced that mysterious cold weather phenom that makes a dog go outside to sniff the cold air three different times before doing “the duty.”
In and out the old people get exercise going up and down the stairs.
Far Side snowblowed me a path along the woods and everything…boy if that wasn’t a circus …that machine has lots of bells and whistles and levers and she had to stop to read the directions twice…finally she got it done…it isn’t perfect but it will do. Did you guess she has a big zero for a mechanical aptitude?
They both have taken to walking laps around inside the house, sometimes I follow for awhile, then I rest. Oh boy when Far Side gets on the stationary bike I know it is time to play ball, she can throw decent with her left hand. (That would be the hand that I deposit the ball into.) She won’t quit to retrieve a wayward ball if it accidentally gets under the couch…so I have to lay there and whine until she is done going nowhere.
They asked Steve and Jo to come play cards one afternoon…boy was it fun to see someone else for a change, even if they didn’t bring Odda.
I am not allowed to go to town during a cold spell unless the stops are short…even though I have a lot of hair…enough for two dogs according to someone…I might get cold. Ya think? Sometimes they take turns and one stays with me guarding the car whilst the other runs the errand.
I hope you are staying warm where ever you live!
Another good post Chance! Sounds like you've got your paws full taking care of those folks. Your post sure made me feel better this morning.
ReplyDeleteOh this made me laugh. It sure is cold here in Ontario Canada and I am sure you are the same. Chance you rock. Hug B
ReplyDeleteAlways makes me laugh when they call dogs dumb animals....who is the dumb animal when the dog gets fed, has doors opened and he's taken care of like a king. Hope it warms up for you...if it's any consolation, it's warmed up to 10*F here this morning.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how cold that is. It's supposed to go down to 28º tonight and that's too cold.
ReplyDeleteHi Chance! That is tooooooo cold for this southern girl! You take good care of one another. xo
ReplyDeleteGood morning Chance! Boy, I thought it was cold here at -7 but you win in the cold department. I can't imagine it being that cold. I think I would just go back to bed and stay there until it warmed up. You are the smart one to just "out and in". Glad I have indoor plumbing or i'd be forced to use a chamber pot or hold it until the weather changed. Stay safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteIt's too durn cold when your turds turn into rocks in under 10 minutes. Bet even you can barely small them by that point.
ReplyDeleteIt's -24 Celsius (-33 with the wind chill) in Thunder Bay. Getting tired of the cold. Hope to go to Grand Marais on Wed. It's supposed to be 21 F. That will be like a heat wave.
ReplyDeleteKeep warm.
That's what I call stupid cold! Good thing you have that nice warm house and considerate folks to look after you!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear ya Chance. Turdy below? That's cold. Sorry but I'm sending you more cold. We had very cold weather for four days.
ReplyDeleteWell chance that makes my -8 on Sunday seem lie we are living in Florida. I know we have been -13 F. in years past but after while it all averages together. El Nino is messing with everyone's weather. Button is like you and he just goes out and wants to think about what he has to do. He will go back out and do it later. He won't do number 2 until right before bed because he is stalling to take that much time to go. Even Barney doesn't get to lay on the top steps these days to watch for cats and squirrels. Stay warm Chance and maybe normal will return in April.
ReplyDeleteHi chance: It has been too long since we heard from you. It is only 11 below here in the Twin Cities this morning and our three little dogs have to put on their coats to go outside. They have hair instead of fur so it is pretty cold out there without coats and even that doesn't help that much. It is suppose to "warm up" in a couple of days and that will be so welcome.

With so many people loving you and taking note of your every thought, I'm probably not going to get a word in edgewise. Just wanted to say I think you are one smart dog!
ReplyDeleteNow that is cold pooping weather! Nice that you have a path to the woods. I have a big zero for a mechanical aptitude, too. She did good! Stay warm, Chance!! :)
ReplyDeleteBrrr! Good thing you have such a nice, thick coat. It hasn't been turdy below here yet, which is fine with me; although last week the temperature did dip to fifteen below. That would be a heat wave for you, huh?
ReplyDeleteChance, You are very wise. Good thing you have everything at home figured out and under control. Stay warm in your fur coat!
ReplyDeleteCute post Chance ! Yeah it is frigging cold here to in Ontario Canada temps are frigid with biting winds . Miggs loves the cold I have to force her to stay in she loves the cold and snow so much crazy dog going for our walk filling the feeders and the odd shoveling is all I can take of the cold but the at least we are sunny here and not all gloomy and cloudy ! Thanks for sharing , have a good day and stay cozy !
ReplyDeleteHey, Chance, ol Buddy! It's always good to hear from you. Mom always thought Fuzzy had tons of hair also. Not me...I'm rather short in the hair department. BUT long in the ears! Tee Hee

I like the dual exercising part, Farside on the bike, Chance fetching the ball. That's what I call multitasking! Cold like you have is no fun for 'man' nor 'beast':(
ReplyDeleteNice pic Chance! Stay warm up there!
ReplyDeleteChance, at least you have a coat on to keep you warm, while we have to pile on the clothes. I know you like to play in the snow.
ReplyDeleteStay warm, Chance, and take care of your family.
ReplyDeleteHi Chance, so darn cold here too, hope you stay warm and cozy. Hugs Francine.
ReplyDeleteHiya Chance: Let the humans run the errands. Stay warm! I'm walking circles around my house, too. Well, more of a straight line. My house isn't big enough for a circle.
ReplyDeleteNow that is COLD!
ReplyDeleteYou all be safe, Chance. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you Chance! You stay warm out there!
ReplyDeleteBrrr - that IS cold! Lovely shot of you - keep warm and keep well.
ReplyDeleteWhenever it gets below turdy, I stay inside. You are definitely a smart dog, but you already knew that. :-)
ReplyDeleteFacebook has made me lazy. I just want to hit the like button. Chance looks wonderful
