I have many projects in the works. Today is a windy winter weather day so I will be flitting from one project to another amongst laundry and maybe cooking up some comfort food…chili and cornbread or soft tacos and a warm cheesy Italian sausage dip…decisions…decisions.
I need to weave in the ends of Harlow’s blanket. He is a month and two days old so he can still use a blanket! I finished crocheting it last night whilst the bachelorettes raked The Bachelor over the coals and whined because they weren’t “the one.”
I have completed five of next years Christmas Ornaments… they are painted and just lack a eye hook and some ribbon. That project is a go. It takes me about 90 minutes to carve one…and another 30 minutes to paint. They are a labor of love for sure. 75 to go..at least we have lots of time.
I needed a bead crimper. A gal must have a few tools. It is a tool that crimps a small metal bead onto a wire to stop other beads from moving.
I am making something out of some wire and beads that I have collected over the years from garage sales. I am still in R & D mode with this project…will it work? Time will tell.
I am working on a new design for a bead bracelet…but here is the one I finished up.
The colors felt like spring to me. The diagonal design was fun to do. I use Japanese Delicas they are very tiny beads.
Back to crocheting my weird yarn with the fur balls. That project has been frogged (torn apart) many times…I have my doubts that it will ever be anything.
At least you keep busy when the weather is bad outside. I really need to get myself more projects. Did manage to get a walk in yesterday. Today I get to shovel snow. You are right about the bead colors - reminds me of Spring.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful bracelet. I can see the little tiny beads in the background. Your eyesight must be much better than mine! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that bracelet. I can just see my cats swatting beads all over the floor!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a group of beaders who meet weekly here in my subdivision, and they have made a bracelet similar to the one you are showing. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThe bracelet is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI work on my hobbies a lot in the winter: they keep cabin fever at bay.
Six more inches of snow fell last night and the wind is howling and causing it to drift. I'm soooo ready for warmer weather.
I like the colors of your bracelet. Very cheery on a winter day. I will have to settle for enjoying my winter day by watching the snow fall on the parking lot at work.
ReplyDeleteThe bracelet is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHave fun.,
Beautiful bracelet! Looks like you are keeping busy on a blustry winter's day.
ReplyDeleteLove the bracelets . At least your staying busy whilst this weather figures out who to be Old man winter still or Mrs Spring lol ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteYou are amazingly talented, Connie!

You are going to get some more nasty weather. We've had lots of wind, snow and cold., but today is Our last day of the bad stuff. Thanks for telling me what a bead crimper is.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to have lots of projects on days like this. My job today is repairing things, mostly involving the sewing machine, while I watch the snow come down and smile because I don't have to be out driving in it.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie, beautiful bracelet, great hobbie to have through the long winter.Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented! The bracelet is very pretty! I can't wait to see the new ornaments. A gal can never have too many tools!
ReplyDeleteOf all your many projects, I imagine Harlow's blanket will be the most appreciated.
ReplyDelete...well, except maybe that cheesy sausage dip...
Love that bracelet and those beads.
ReplyDeleteYou do have a lot of projects going on! Those tiny beads would make me blind, not to mention my clumsy arthritic hands would never be able to manage them. Beautiful colors on the bracelet.
ReplyDeleteYou amaze me at how much you get done. I am so slow....like a slug but I am persistent but that doesn't get my house all clean at once.....Spring must be right around the corner because Nitty is losing hunks of hair all over. Does Chance shed much? Annie's not too bad....it's Nitty and the cat. So far, I haven't started.
ReplyDeleteThe bracelet is gorgeous...how do you do all that tiny work? I'm still waiting to see the blanket before it is gifted. At least take a picture so you can show it after you give it in case you're afraid they'll see it. I'm rounding the bend with my blanket....only 12 more blocks to go on the knitted one. Your dinner and dip sounds delicious.
