Let the target practice commence!
I have been waiting for my Permit To Purchase a Handgun to arrive. It finally came in the mail yesterday. Both my other baby brother and my husband said “I bet they are reading your blog to find out what kind of radical you are.”
Since I had the little beauty that fits my hand so well all picked out it was just a matter of doing some more paper work and paying the bill.
I opted for the Crimson Trace which is a laser sight.
We headed over to my other baby brothers shooting range. He spent some time with me and gave me some pointers. I hit the target several times from 25 feet away! The gun handles well and I am practicing getting used to it.
I will be attending a Permit To Carry Class sometime in the near future.
Here is that pretty red trigger that I mentioned in an earlier blog.
I am pleased with my selection. I am a supporter of the 2nd Amendment, and I will exercise my right to bear arms.
Good for you ! I had a hunting license and guns when on the farm but not now don't need it ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteGoodbye.
ReplyDeleteI just hope you only need to use it for target practice. It's too small to rid yourself of the pesky deer, isn't it? :-)
ReplyDeleteYes too small for deer. I only shoot deer with my camera:)
DeleteCongratulations. I have fired that same gun and yes it fits a persons hand very well. Good luck with you practice. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteWell look at you, gun toting girlie girl. Congrats, Francine.
ReplyDeleteEveryone in my family has a few. I have a good range set up and love punching paper.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations.
I support the Amendment - just can't see myself owning a gun. I grew up around guns, but don't feel comfortable owning one.
ReplyDeleteGood for you!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! It's like having a truck with 4WD, you don't need it very often, but sure nice to have when you do.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! You know, I keep a gun in my work basket outside. Poppy almost broke his neck running through the woods to rescue me from the two dogs (my screams scared the dogs away). We got the permit and bought me a pistol, holster, belt, and the works.
ReplyDeleteKick a-s ---- you show them just what you can do,can't whole a good woman down.
ReplyDeleteIf we can't agree on this subject I'll meet you at 25 paces with my 12 gauge double barrel or squirt guns your choice....:)
ReplyDeleteHA! I am not sweet enough to melt unlike you! So I choose the squirt guns....and be forewarned I have a pretty good aim for an elderly gal:)
DeleteI don't see it as so radical. The US Constitution has given careful scrutiny to this issue many times. The 2nd Amendment does not GIVE us the Right to keep and bear arms. It establishes that Right already existed by virtue of the wording that the Right "shall not be infringed."
ReplyDeleteI'll stick to my right to "bare arms". Target practice can be fun though.
ReplyDeleteIn the movie "Star Trek," Sulu, sends a verbal stern message to the enemy Khan, that if he didn't watch out he would unload his full cargo of torpedoes on him. Bones, the doc on the Enterpise turned to Sulu and said, "remind me to never piss you off." I bet you will have a lot of fun at the target range. I loved shooting at old cans when I was a kid with the rifle.
ReplyDeleteYeah, for the 2nd Amendment! I am looking around for the gun I want too! I will probably have to get a revolver because of my arthritis. There is a good site on concealed carry that's worth checking out.Good Info about before and after shooting!
