Rain

We travelled up north to visit an old friend.  We ran into rain.

Babe the Blue Ox and Paul Bunyan

Rain

It rained really hard, the rain was cold…people were running everywhere…like they might melt.  We found shelter.

Ferris Wheel

Eventually we found our old friend.  We met him back in 1970 when he was fresh out of High School.  He was living his dream back then…and as we reminded him he is still living it….along with his wife and two children.    A mutual friend died over the winter, she was remembered warmly.

It is good to catch up with old friends.

  2. Those raindrops do look rather intense as they hit the water. It sounds like it was a good outing. We just get light mist here, usually, very occasionally an intense storm like that. :-)

  6. There is always something to be said for living your dream. I imagine it comes with its own opportunity cost as well...

  7. I agree- it's nice to catch up with old friends that we haven't seen in a good while. No rain here, just heat!

  9. After the past two years it seems so strange to get rain. Then when it rains it is always over 2 inches at a time. Wet mud everywhere and the grass is already to be mowed again.

  10. I haven't seen Paul and Babe for decades! I remember how impressive that was as a child.
Yes, it is good to connect with old friends. When they start passing I realize how old I am. When did that happen? ;)
