A Winter Formal

Maddie asked me to come up and take some photos.   The occasion was The Winter Formal.

Black and white Maddie

We took some photos inside but I liked the outside ones the best.  It was a fun session..even if the temperatures were subzero.  Maddie said she was going to freeze to death…I said it would take quite a while to freeze solid.

Maddie and her beau

Maddie has always been my photogenic grandchild..she rarely takes a bad photo.  The camera loves her.  I do too.

Maddie Winter Formal

It seems like she should spend a Saturday night making popcorn and cutting up apples with me and going to bed at 7:30 instead of going out on a DATE.

Maddie and her beau two

I had a blast and I think we got some excellent shots..thanks Maddie for asking your old Granny to take photosSmile

  8. Hey, you did well with these photos. You can have a very beautiful grand daughter as a subject but you still have to have the talent to show the subject.

  9. The gown is beautiful, even more-so with Maddie modeling it! You are right. If it is going to be a winter formal, pictures must include snow! Especially with the red color!

  12. It was so great that she wanted you to do that. I think she wanted her grandma see her all dressed up in her red dress and also see her guy who is taking her to the formal ball. Snow is a given when you have a winter formal dance.

  17. She is so very beautiful! I really like the first pic with her expression and stance but LOVE the last one with the colors. She and he color-coordinated and the design on the dress is so festive. Thanks for sharing such a joyous time with us, too.
