Scrapbooking Retreat

I am at a scrapbooking retreat.  I left Far Guy and Chance to take care of each other at home.  There were left overs in the fridge and a few Hockey Game’s on the TV to help fill their evenings.  Perhaps they will write the Christmas Letter whilst I am gone.

I am working on a scrapbook from 2008..I am a little behind.  I also have supplies to make cards.

Jen is here too!  It is good to have company at retreat. There are fourteen women here.  I know five of them.

It is good to have a little vacation, someone else cooks and the snack table is full.

I was the sensible one that brought the fruit:)

  3. Ah a scrap book bevotee. Our friend Rosie does this same thing beautifully and elaborately. I knew I couldn't come close to the quality of her work but was inspired to take my falling apart childhood album, inherited from my mom, and redo it to keep it from completely fading and falling apart. Voila! I eventually redid ALL our picture albums (it took years) and now my project is to digitalize our thousands of ectachrome slides....:)

  9. I've never done scrapbooking, although I do like crafty things and photos. Maybe after the grandkids are in school....

And that reminds me, would you consider posting a tutorial on how you make your photo greeting cards? They are absolutely beautiful, and I can tell you use just the right supplies and techniques (in addition to starting with a great photo).

Have a great time at the retreat!

  12. What a fun way to spend a dreary day/weekend!
I have some scrapbooking supplies. I enjoy making cards and have never actually put together a scrapbook. Maybe some day! I have often wondered if creating an online scrapbook would be as fulfilling as touching everything, and snipping papers, and deciding what embellishments to add, etc. You will post pictures of your creations, right?!
