In The Dog House

Chance is mad at me.  He should be mad a Far Guy too but oh no he was forgiven almost immediately.

It was time for Chance to be groomed..he needed the works again.  He was not thrilled.

We dropped him off with the instructions:  glands, toe nails, hypoallergenic shampoo and NO PERFUME and then we went out for breakfast.  They told us he might be ready about 2:30.  Well we did errands and checked out the antique shops and got home at noon and there was a message that Chance was ready. Really ..so soon??

He was “talking to them”  I knew it was him as soon as we walked in the door.  I hollered “Shut up”  he did for just a minute and then he began his mournful howling again.  Far Guy said “That cannot be my dog.”  News flash to Far Guy..your dog is very spoiled and he has separation anxiety.

All the way home he glared at me from his spot in the back seat.

What a turd.

Chance I was grromed

He was so thirsty he ran right over to his outside water bucket. Still glaring.

Still not looking

Then he laid down and refused to look at me.. he is sure pretty handsome after a grooming.  He will forget all about it in a week or so:)

  2. He is beautiful, er I mean handsome, all right. And pissed! Poor little guy, he was abandoned and beat up and washed and groomed... what did you expect? He looks great and like you said, he'll forgive you someday. :-)

  3. Chance need to learn there is sacrifice for beauty and he looks very handsome indeed!!!

Oh honey...if looks could kill you'd be plannin' that funeral 'stead of Far Guy! Heeeheehhee!

God bless ya sweetie and have a wonderful day!!! :o)

  4. Chance sure does have "the look" . But what a handsome dog after his grooming. Maybe someday he'll forgive you. Hey, get Minnie to come over for a visit - bet Chance will forgive you right away. Hehehe

  6. Typical. Our cats do the same thing when they need a bath or have their nails cut.
A few kitty treats are usually all it takes to get her forgiveness. :o)

  7. *Laughing* I can just hear Chance (Tucker) as you walked into the groomers. I can hear that brief moment of silence... we get that, too, but someone always has to have the last word!
Chance does look beautiful! Tucker's time is coming. I wonder how long it will be before he talks to us... and just who he'll hold it against!

  8. Oh don't you just hate it when you can feel them glaring at you. I'm sure he'll get over it soon. He looks nice and I'm betting, smells better too!

  9. He is a gorgeous animal, but then I have a weakness for Border Collies.

  10. *laffs*

    I guess Chance doesn't like "paw-icures".

  11. If looks could kill.... Chance looks nice and shiny, I bet he finds something stinky to roll in and then you'll get the smug dog look. Reba is shedding right now, she blows her coat twice a year, and it''s me that does the grooming - talk about getting covered in dog hair.

  12. Chance looks nice and shiny, and at least he didn't go roll somewhere mucky when he got back:) I'm sure if you went and played ball with him, you'd be forgiven pretty quickly!

Never paid for a groomer, and never will. I figure I can do it myself, and it is less stressful for the dogs.

  13. Amy sympathises. Water is for fish as far as she is concerned.

  14. I love the look he's giving you! The sacrifices one must make to be handsome (and clean).

  15. Buddy hates the grooming thing too. But he loves when I come get him and make over how good looking he is and how he smells so good. I bathe him but it is difficult on me bending over the bathtub. Chance looks so good and shiny hair. All brushed up. Hope the three of you have a nice weekend.

  16. I've heard that elephants have a good memory. Sounds like Chance takes a close second. Hope your week as persona non grata goes by quickly...

  17. Elegantly handsome, indeed. Unfair that he blamed you and not FarGuy. Sometimes those guys just stick together for no good reason. ;)

  18. Chance is indeed beautiful, er, handsome I mean. Don't tell him I said beautiful.

  19. That is hilarious! I love when dog's pout.

  20. Oh poor misunderstood Chance. Surely some sort of abuse is involved here. Whoa. I take that back. Perhaps my assumption that he is a country rather than a city dog is incorrect. Baron gets tossed in the cattle tank for his spring cleanup or later the garden hose does the job..... Well maybe a little hyperbole with that last comment...:)

  21. I know that look well! Chance sure is handsome. Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

  22. Yes he is handsome! Oh boy! I can't let Nitty or Annie see that picture or they'll be bugging me to take them to the spa. Annie has to go on a diet. We probably all need to lose weight around here!

  23. My daughter's Schnauzer did much the same think. She looked so hard done by that you had to comfort her. That's a case of the dog training the master.

  24. OH, he looks gorgeous!

  25. Fuzzy is terrified of the groomer. I changed groomers which has helped but not much. I finally figured out if I take Boomer and they do Boomer FIRST Fuzzy will relax. Like you I love to see a just groomed long haired dog!
