And pussy willows..

Pussy Willows March 25

Spring has temporarily been put on hold, it turned windy (howling banshee windy scare the dog half to death) and now it is cold.  Well, not all that cold..40 degrees ( 4 degrees C).  It is supposed to be warmer this weekend:)

  1. We are way to warm for this time of year, near 80's in the forecast for this weekend. It's going to be another unusually hot summer I'm afraid. Last summer was terrible.

  4. I'm listening to the wind howling outside my window, it was blowing all night. Today is our hike, I hope it decides to settle down first. I'd rather than rain than wind. Isn't the 40s more normal for your part of the country?

  5. Very windy here also. Sometimes I think the house will blow away. Crazy Spring so far - one day the a/c is on next day the heat is one.

  6. Yup, you were right, the winds came, gone now, Mr weatherman is telling me its going to snow tonight. But will melt fast, as we are expecting a warm weekend. Yeah, weekends!!

  7. We had the same wind and then snow! One week ago it was 80 and we thought about getting the air conditioner out of the cellar! Today light snow and rain and it's raw out there. Very strange weather!

  8. We've been having crazy winds lately too. Funny, the ones they don't predict end up being stronger than the ones they tell us are coming! This yea I noticed that one of my new willows has teeny tiny pussy willows on it, they are adorable and were a pleasant surprise, I can't wait for when I have lots and lots of them, which should be soon, they are multiplying like barn cats!

  9. Love your 'I spy'! The buds surely whisper promises of spring. We have things popping here. We even have forsythia blooming!

  16. Looks like Spring is in rare form in your neck of the woods. I must confess, I turned on the air yesterday...in MARCH....I've never done that, ever!

Hopefully Mr. Chance steered clear of the deer poop for ya!

God bless and have a fine Spring day sweetie!!! :o)

  17. Yeah...tell me about the deer poop! It's everywhere down here and don't ya know my dogs are ALWAYS rolling in it! AHHHH!!!!! But dogs will be dogs! By the time your buds pop up there it will be Fall down here! LOL! It's been in the 80's this week and high 80's for tomorrow and Sunday maybe 90...too hot for me! You can't get any work done when it's that hot but I manage...at least it's not humid yet. Perfect working temp for me is about 60. Actually I got quite a bit done today but I was inside mostly.
Give Chance a big hug for me...that is if he hasn't rolled in anything! Ha! Ha!
    Pretty pics!

  19. Chilling windy weather is heading our way tomorrow. It will rain and snow and BLOW until Monday night, then we will start to warm up again. For us that is spring, I'll be glad when the weather settles!
