I have a new friend. His name is Putzer and he lives just down the road. He is Odda’s new brother.
He is just a little bit of a dog.
I was patient with him, however I did growl when he bit my tail.
I told you he is just a little bit of a dog.
Odda is having a hard time. Far Side says Odda’s nose is outta joint but her nose looked fine to me. One day this week Far Guy thought there was a bear in our yard, turned out it was just Odda running away from home. We brought her inside and we called her Mom. Odda was in big trouble. We were just happy that we were home and could be a safe place for her to run away to.
One time when I was little and got confused and ran across the road into the field, Jo and Leah stopped and picked me up. They saved me then…so it is only right that we watch out for each other when we can.
The little bit of a dog named “Putzer” is an Australian Shepherd. Odda is a Bernese Mountain Dog and me..well I am a Border Collie that blogs:)
Wonderful post...that's what a good neighbor does.
ReplyDeleteSweet post ! Odda you gona get in trouble ! Putzer is soo cute ! They are all so cute I just love dogs ! Miggy says hi ! Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteChance, that little guy is so cute, even if he did bite your tail, I think you will take care of him, right? Tell Far Side her pictures are really good! :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are great pictures Connie! Putzer is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Chance can teach Tess how to blog....
ReplyDeletePoor Odda, she has to live with that puppy. Be patient, the puppy will grow out of its playfulness. Keep your ears high, or Putzer will try to chew on them. Good luck being patient.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh so tiny. And so cute. Hopefully Odda will grow to like the puppy, it's not good to run away from your troubles.

Oh my, Putzer is so cute, and we don't realize how little until we see you all together. 12 years ago when Calli was a pup, it took a week or two before our black lab Echo started to play with her. And Echo used to head up the road to our neighbours if she heard a sound here that she didn't like (mostly the smoke detector). We did fix those escape routes when Calli came along. Didn't want the old dog teaching the young dog new 'tricks'.
ReplyDeleteOh, aren't they all just darling. I'm sure Oda is having a hard time...babies of all types always get the most hugs. But us older folks like it too.

Odda is a beauty! Putzer is cute. And you are gorgeous and patient beyond words.
ReplyDeleteBCs who blog are the best :-). Do you know about Bet? http://northwapiti.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteOh, who doesn't love a cute little puppy? Odda...that's who! LOL! She'll get used to it and be grateful for the playmate when Chance isn't around. I've always had 2 dogs because when one dies, I get another one so the Top Dog can train it for me. they communicate and Odda will train that puppy up to be just as good as she is. Nitty has made a fine dog out of Annie and she was 4 years old when I got her and had never been house trained or anything. She knows now! Of course, I had to help but I know a lot of it was communicated by Nitty as to what the job requirements were. Odda and Putzer will make a fine team someday soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were there for Odda. What a little baby dog. Glad you were nice to it, even if it bit your tail and needed a talking to. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that picture of the three of them sitting side by side actually made me laugh out loud. It is so darn cute. My son has an Australian Shepherd and boy can she get into mischief. I think it's because he works long hours and she misses him. Although, he also has two other dogs that she can play with. That little Putzer is adorable and I can see why Odda's nose is out of joint.
ReplyDeleteOh the little shepherd is so cute. He is very small compared to his brother. I be Putzer will grow up fast. It is fun to have new neighbors.
ReplyDeleteChance, it's a lucky thing you were there for Odda. After awhile, he'll come to accept Putzer. How can you not love such cuteness?
