The hoar frost and snow fog was awesome yesterday morning. I think the roads were slippery in the early morning.
Chance and I went out to capture some frosty views.
He is the best model and companion for early morning outings.
The snow fog blocked out the sun all day long..so there were no Ground Hogs seeing their shadows in my part of Minnesota yesterday.
Lollygagging has officially begun. I am taking some time to just do whatever strikes my fancy for 15 days. I am going to nap if I want too..I am going to spend an entire day reading a book if I want too. It will be like a mini vacation right here at home:)
Awesome shots. Enjoy your mini vacation!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. Have fun and enjoy your time.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't figure out if those pictures are monochrome or in color, the light is so flat. But it's pretty, and I think lots of you have been missing the snow. Thinking of last year's snow stick...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! We have no snow. I almost took a picture of our "frosty" morning today, but it was so depressing I couldn't bring myself to do it. I know everyone else is enjoying it, but I'm sad. Thanks for your pics.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. No sun here yesterday either. Enjoy your lollygagging!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos ! Good for you having time to your self to do what ever you please ! Have a good day !
DeleteThere was very little traffic yesterday due to the heavy fog. But no hoar frost which I'd take over the fog anytime. We're heading up to the North Country on the 9th to visit Sax-Zim. I can't stand it that I haven't been able to spot one of those snowy owls yet.... :)
ReplyDeleteOh look that first shot is a perfect Sunday Stills (last week) shot! LOL Enjoy the mini vacay and just relax.
ReplyDeleteThe rodent here saw his shadow but after all he's a rodent not a meteorologist. Your frost is beautiful.....ours has been the skinny dried up old kind.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to have a holiday at home! You could go further and get somebody to come in and do all the work. Would be a good holiday. I think it would be a good business ...could sell home holiday tours??
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots. I never saw hoar frost until I moved west - it is stunning and the crystals on your pines are especially beautiful!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your staycation!
It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are awesome. I have to admit, I still blush when I use the term 'hoar frost!" 'Just never grew outta it! Heeehehehe!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your in~house vacation sweetie!
God bless ya and have a great weekend!!! :o)
Oh, lollygagging sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteLove those long long icicles and foggy shots. Kind of like our weather.
It looks beautiful. We get a snow starting at midnight and who knows how much. I like the hoar frost and have missed seeing any thin year. I think you do deserve some time off. I work during my times off but that's because I choose to and stop when ever I want. Take it easy.
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous shots. They look like Christmas cards. I really need to get out more. I have a new camera too. I always enjoy your pictures of the life around you.
ReplyDeleteLove that frost!! Just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteChance looks pretty good, too. ;)
Have fun on your mini-vacation!!
Enjoy your lollygagging and your snow! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat first photo could be a Christmas Card!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the hoar frost, all those ice crystals just amaze me, and great opportunities for interesting photos too:)
Some new images for your Etsy shop? These really are beautiful. And enjoy your vacation, after that month of hard work.
ReplyDeleteAh, to lollygagging...I think you've earned the right...enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLove these pictures.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are tremendous! I just oohed and aahed over all of them.
ReplyDeletewe have freezing fog again this morning -- but it is light.
ReplyDeletewe had the heavy stuff like that a while back and it was so gorgeous. But I got lonely for the sun after 5 days of it.
We are on day four..but we had some sunshine this morning..then back to the fog and frost:)
