Wistful Wednesday: School Days 2002

Our oldest granddaughter Savannah is a lefty.  She started first grade in a suburb of Chicago.  She was featured in the newspaper.

Savannah I pledge

It said “Savannah is a study in concentration as she says the pledge of allegiance with her first grade classmates at Madison Elementary School in Lombard.”

School started yesterday.  She is a sophomore this year.  In a few years she will graduate.

I have had this newspaper article and the special paper to mount it on..and the idea that I should mat and frame this piece of history for some time now..well since back in 2002. I hope I get it done by the time she graduates:)

The picture, mounted properly, would make a great graduation gift (which gives you a little bit of time)!
