Warm Weather

The other night we headed over to Shell Lake to play in the water.  The lake temperature is way up..the water was really warm..not cool and refreshing..but warm..just like a bodily fluid.

We have been having very warm and especially humid weather.  The weather will break soon..possibly this weekend.  It has been so warm that I have been dreaming of swimming every night.

Chance loves the water.

He jumps after water that Far Guy lobs into the air with the flinger..it is Chances favorite water game:)

  2. :)

I always have to smile at the things dogs find amusing and the games they play. :) The ware looks nice and clear - its full of duckweed here.

I hope it cools off for you - "body fluid" temperature water isn't much fun to swim in when you are looking to cool off!

  3. With the air temperature in the 60s, our lake temperatures are too cold to swim in without a wetsuit, unless you're very determined. (That's what I hear, I swim in the pool.)

Love to watch dogs play in the water. Especially Chance, who I think is a dog, although he is one of my blogging buddies. :-)

  5. Fun action photos.... I don't mind the warm it is better than around the 4th - that was too humid! The seasons will be changing my mind has started those lists "to-do" before it gets cold - although I keep trying to ignore it! :)

  6. I love the action shot of Chance and the excitement you caught in his expression!

My nephew who lives in MN has met a girl, and has put a contract on a house there. He had the opportunity to relocate BUT you know what LOVE will do!!!!! Maybe she will fatten him up and the cold winters won't bother him!

  8. The whole country is red on the weather map. Some places you expect that, like here, where I live. The weathermen act surprised that it is dang hot in N.C. Really? It was hot last year and the year before too.

Now, where you are and in Mi. where my daughters are, this is unusual. You northerners are not used to it. And poor Chance, he wouldn't have a chance without a dip now and then.

  9. Love the photos of Chance. I know what you mean about water; I find myself craving a cold shower several times a day. The effect doesn't seem to last the way a lake swim used to.

  12. You camera takes great action shots of one of the most beautiful dogs in the world. We were discussing humidity today and it truly seems worse this year than last - - - or maybe it's my imagination.

  13. Those were great pics of Chance! The humidity here is really high! I hate it when the water feels like bath water!. I don't like it freezing either!

  14. My two boys and their wives are up to the Lake Pokegama and I bet they are swimming continually between fishing. Warm water isn't always a given up there.
