Interview: The Rest of the Story

They called me.  I was their choice.  Would I accept the position? My first thought was..they must be nuts..if they want me despite all my faults..they must be really hard up.

I am now the New Director of the local Historical Society and Museum.  It should be a challenge..they have many issues to resolve.  It is not by any stretch of the imagination a high paying influential job..but it should be an interesting one. Everyday should be different and I will be learning many new things. 

Far Guy is supportive, he thinks he and Chance can get along without me for six hours a day for the summer. Not too much should change, I can still get out in the evenings to capture the wildflowers and I can still write everyday..although Far Guy has doubts that I will be able to keep up with all of my activities.  We will take it one day at a time and see what happens.

This is the Old Courthouse where the Historical Society’s Museum is located, there are twelve large rooms.  Three other rooms are shared with a Local Arts Group.  Someplace in there is my office.

I am not sure that I made the right decision. I have many personal projects that are on going..things that are important to me..my scrapbooking, my blogs, my photography, my wild flower identification book, the family recipe book that I have been working on and last but not least wood carving.  I am never bored.

I have to make a list and get organized around here..and do the rest of the spring housecleaning..oh and go shopping..I guess I might need a dress or two..and maybe a new sweater for chilly days..and a new bag so I can take my lunch to work, and maybe a new pair of old lady shoes. I detest shopping.  I have a month to get my ducks in a row..before I start my new adventure:)
