Hibernation

Far Guy asked me today if the bears were out of hibernation.  They are… Maddie saw one in a tree on a school field trip.

We were in a snowstorm last evening.  Going from one daughters to the other, it began to snow and the roads turned icy.  Minnesota weather can do anything in April. It is cold, it is snowy and the wind is blowing..it looks a lot like Christmas.  Old Man Winter is not giving up so easy this year.

It was dark when we got here..and I did not take any photos of any of the accidents we saw on the way.  One car was almost totally submerged in water.  The bad weather was supposed to be south of us..surprise..surprise.

We will hibernate here until the weather straightens out.  Chance is happy,  he has been playing ball with Miney and Elvis.  Jen and I will venture out to do some shopping..maybe..if the stores are not closed.

I know one thing I packed away my snow boots way too earlySmile

  3. Thursday we woke to heavy rain which turned to snow, with more than two inches before it was over! However, it was gone by noon. This isn't Minnesota, after all! Glad you and Chance are safe and sound.

Drive savely home when you come. Steve was up at Cavalier yesterday (Fri) to an auction, so he saw all those accidents too on hwy 2 and others coming home. He got home about 7 pm. Nasty roads all the way.

  8. Bummer on the weather but Praise God you got there safely! And as usual, Chance looks at anything out of the ordinary as a new adventure to be enjoyed. He is so funny and almost more fun than some people, isn't he?

  13. Glad to hear you are both safe. I hope no one was in that car. :|
We're having crazy wind today, but no tornadoes yet (God willing) like they had in Alabama or some other states.

    Enjoy your weekend! ♥

  16. Never pack away snow boots or wash the kids' snowpants in April. I learned that lesson a few years back. The accidents sound scary. Glad you're safe!!

  17. I guess it's been nicer here than I've given it credit for--no snow, just a bit of rain and very changeable--high of 85 one day, 55 the next.
