We Sprung Forward

Just because we sprung forward does not mean than we have spring.  I am grateful for the sunlight in the evening..although that hour seems to throw my internal clock into an heightened state of “cranky.”

Chance March 13

Chance posed at “the bank” for you.

I had to make a phone call this morning..now that will put me into a bad mood faster than most anything..especially when I was informed that I was caller number eleven. I waited patiently, now I must wait for them to return my call…I wonder what they would do if they called here and were told that they were caller number eleven..do you suppose they would complain or sit quietly and wait their turn or hang up?   When Far Guy heard I was number eleven..he said “Forget it, hang up.”  Sometimes I listen to him..sometimes not.

My baby brother is back in the States..thank you all for your kind comments. He emailed me when he landed in San Francisco.  It took him 3+ days to get home from Singapore.

Snow Stick Report:

Snowstick March 13

Sorry Gail.. I took this photo yesterday March 13 in the afternoon we still have 15+ inches of snow at the snow stick. It could be gone any day now..if it rains:)

  1. Between my insomnia and now the time change, my body doesn't know what to feel except tired. Amazing how that one little hour can make such a difference. We had light until almost 7:30 PM last night - that gives me hope that warm weather is on its way. Now, if I can only keep my eyes open to enjoy it. Good news about your baby brother!!

  2. The time changes always leave me jet-lagged for a couple of weeks.

On the other hand, our snow is long gone.

  4. I don't like the time change at all!
Your snow seems quite stubborn. :)

  5. It looked like on the weather report that you would have a slow thaw. It looks promising down here but there are no sprouts of green anywhere. I am glad the brother is home. We are going to be tired for a while with the time change because that is what happens. Once we have a few days past I think I will be ok.

  7. This is the hardest time change. Gad! Now I'm getting up at 3:00 in the morning. I'll be glad when my time clock adjusts and I'm only getting up at 4:00. That one extra hour helps!

  8. The time change wasn't as hard this year.......we had to be up early anyway and for some reason that made the difference. Our snow is shrinking today and a little water is trying to run. Hopefully it stays like this all week.

  9. I think the worst part about the time change is that the daylight is longer in coming in the morning! I never thought about telling them that they are to have a number also!

  10. Who can we tell to stop this spring forward and fall back?

  11. It didn't bother me so much because of just having had a three-hour time change earlier this week. The "spring forward" made it two instead of three to deal with.

  12. The only thing I like about the time change is it stays lighter longer in the evenings, I dont sleep much these days even with sleeping pills,Papa and I are up every day at 6am just one of those country things. I have insomnia as well, have had it for years, ever since the life change started oh what fun that is NOT! Have a good day !

  13. Glad to hear your brother got to SF safely.

We don't spring forward for a couple of weeks yet but at least the days are getting longer and longer! (Even if still cold. - 10 C this morning!)
