The Day After Christmas

They came..we enjoyed their company and now they have returned to their homes.

Christmas 2010 The Grands “The Grands” Christmas 2010

It is quiet here now, Chance doesn’t quite know what to do with himself, all of his favorite people were here…and now they are gone.  I took a nap…a long nap…Far Guy too..he is still fighting off the bronchitis.

How many people and dogs can fit on a love seat?  This love seat used to be the perfect spot for someone little to sleep..now the someone's who used to be little are way to big and tall. Poor Savannah was stuck there one night..with her legs all curled up or flopped over the end.

My thumb is still pretty useless..and it is still painful. I am putting ice on it and elevating it when it hurts.

As for what we will do the rest of this day..maybe we will oh and ah over the new fallen snow:)

  5. Doesn't it amaze you that something small (one finger) on our body can cause so much pain? Praying that both of you get completely well soon. Your naps will definitely aide in the healing process. I am looking forward to retirement in a couple of years so I can work around the house - - on my schedule - - - nap when tired - - - then repeat. That's what I like about vacations at home - - my schedule. Now if a cook would appear - - - it would be even better!

  8. Wow, they are quite the handful. The picture of the people & dog pile is fun to look at, but probably not so comfy to be in. I'm hoping your thumb decides it's going to stop hurting now.

  10. Quiet is good. We go through spells where the tv stays off and it is really quiet. Take care of that hand. It needs time to heal.

  12. I'm so glad you were able to have such a wonderful Christmas Day. I sure hope your thumb is feeling better soon, pain is a, a bugger. By the way, did I mention how much I love my little cabin?! Bet too, she showed it to everyone, one of the marrieds asked who the people were on your Christmas card, Bet and I in unison said it was our friend Connie from Minnesota! If you need more cotton wood bark Dirt would be happy to ship you ours, it just keeps growing sprouts.
