He made a visit to the area..he left some signs..
On my Peegee Hydrangea..it did well this year..it must thrive on neglect.
On my stupid Forsythia ‘Meadowlark’ that never blooms…not even one lousy tiny yellow bloom..nothing..nada..zip…zero..zilch.
On my Spirea that grows on the edge of the old parking lot. He never looked real good..even when I gave him some attention.. but he looks good covered in frost..
This one made me smile and think of a friend( From My Back Porch) and her husband(Jack) who live in Indiana. They hit a bit of a rough patch awhile back..stop by and say Hi! This sign is from Bemidji, Minnesota.
Has Jack Frost visited you yet? :)
Yes! We have saved what we can and have many things covered from our fall garden.
ReplyDeleteYour frost pictures are beautiful but I am not ready!
Now that is funny! We have had frost a few times already. My marigolds have survived, I am surprised!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had our first frost yet, but I will take pictures when we get it. I love your spirea picture, it's just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThe frost hasnt hit yet but its getting colder each night. Great photos, and the sign hahaha thats funny ! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNo frost yet but getting closer. Hydrangea - - that is the one I was trying to think of the other day when talking to my sister - - - they are the ones that will turn pink or blue depending on the ph of the soil - - right? So how early did you get out in the morning to get those great pictures? I am glad Mr. Frost didn't make you slip and fall.
ReplyDeleteCute - love that someone actually has that name!
ReplyDeleteNO FROST IN GA YET. YOUR PHOTOS ARE PRETTY CONNIE. HOPE YOU ENJOY THE DAY.
ReplyDeleteNo frost, not even the hard freeze because we live in town. But it will happen soon. My gardens are all slowly shrinking down. I have my phlox and cone flowers cut back and will rake leaves onto the beds.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos - love it when leaves get covered in icy eyelashes. As you know, we've had both frost and snow already. Now it's a balmy +10 C again!
ReplyDeleteChilling photos!
ReplyDeleteTotally covered with the little Fella's trails!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's been 25 the past two morns and what survived the other frosts in the holler has been put to death now. So here I go, I'm done...finished and have fought the good fight...'till next spring!!! Heeeheehhe!
God bless ya and have a great day sweetie!!! :o)
Just enough frost to kill the pumpkin vines and nastursiums two weeks ago, nothing since and nothing but lot-o-rain in sight. Why is it that we insist on keeping plants that don't live up to their expectations? Though some plants that don't do what they ought get kept around here for the fall color they provide. We don't get much color, especially in the garden beds, so if something happens to give us a tiny show even, it gets to stay!
ReplyDeleteNo not yet even though we had a low of 40° this morning, pretty chilly for Southern Georgia, I have much to do outside before the frost comes here, and my greens need to get bigger too, it is coming though and I know soon, hugs
ReplyDeleteThe roof tops were white this morning but the flower beds were ok here in our part of Arkansas.
ReplyDeleteI know he is coming soon.
Stopping back by to say thanks for your kind comments tonight and I love your new header above. Trick or Treat to Chance!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes. Been frost in Fargo, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteAmazing pictures!!
Ha! That's a good one! Even Jack got a chuckle out of that! Speaking of rough patch, Jack had surgery this week to have two hernias patched. He's not happy when we make him laugh right now....it's just too painful! He's doing good though....thanks for stopping by to check on us.
ReplyDeleteI love the new photo of Chance! I had to laugh at his delightful smile!
