Chance: Banking and Biscuits

I like drive up windows, they usually have dog treats. I can always count on a treat at the drug store and at the bank.  While we are waiting in line, I start to drool.  Not just a little bit of wetness either..it is like a faucet has been turned on inside my mouth.. the saliva escapes out both sides of my mouth..dripping down sliding effortlessly out of my jowls.  All in preparation for the dog biscuit that will be sent out for me. They have the best dog biscuits. Sometimes when I am drooling, Far Side says "swallow before you drown" ..that's exactly what I am waiting for ..to swallow that biscuit.

I am always disappointed when we park in the parking lot and I am left alone in the car.  Well, that has  all changed, I got permission and an invitation to go INSIDE the bank.

The tellers keep dog biscuits in there too..you just have to put your paws up on the counter and they hand over the treats!

Sometimes even more than one, because you are the most handsome dog they have ever seen in their entire life. ..this is way better than drive up.  I made two new friends Linda and Sue, no more waiting in the car for me.. Far Side says I should work on trying to control my drooling:)

  1. If I have to stop at the bank I do it when I have the dog in the car. He loves the treats they put in the cyclinder-thingie. Once, they didn't put any in. Buddha looked out the window towards the drive-through teller window and barked. The teller came on the speaker, APOLOGIZED for forgetting the treats, and asked me to send the cylinder-thingie back so she could send him the treats.

It's neat that your bank allowed your dog to visit.

  3. Too cute! What a lucky guy you are Chance - but then again you probably "make their day" - the tellers that is!

  4. Chance, this is the cutest post I've ever read! You are so handsome and so well behaved to be invited into the bank. Harriet says to tell you it's not fair cause she can't put her paws up on the teller's window!!!!!

  8. Chance, That is so great that they appreciate your visits. I bet they had been wishing you would come in to the bank ever since you first started visiting the drive up. They were a few stores that we visit in Duluth in the summer that tells us to bring our little dog in with us. I hope the biscuits are good ones. Barnabus is getting fat this winter on his treats. But when it warms up he will be out making his paces all along the back yard running hard and baring loud. Take care of all, Chance and have a good week. Spring is coming. Soft mud!!

  10. I did the same thing as Nezzy...didn't notice that Chance was posting. It's so easy to confuse me today!

  11. Okay, that was strange.... Don't know why my identity changed from Blissed-Out Grandma to Nancy, but as I said I'm easily confused today!

  13. You live in a wonderful place Chance. Never in my life could I imagine a dog being allowed in a bank. Ever..... not even Bootsie the cat gets to go there.

  18. Hey! Good for you Chance! I don't get to go to the bank. I do get to go to lots of stores, mostly feed and home improvement stores, but still, works for me.

But a BANK! Wow! Now I wonder if I can talk Mom into taking me to the bank.

  19. That is so cool.
Chance, we knew you were special but you must be super-special because you generally have to be a service animal rather than a beloved family member to be allowed inside with all the money!
