Sunday late in the afternoon all of the neighborhood children (Great nieces and nephews) showed up..in one huge sled. Joshua, my oldest nephew, has a large sled that he pulls behind the snowmobile. I went for a ride too...the kids all wanted candy..they never forget that I have a whole Jar of Tootsie Pop Suckers in the kitchen just waiting for them. We had a great ride down the lane and through the woods...the weather was wonderful! When they dropped me off at home I got them each a sucker and I got hugs in return..an excellent trade!
This morning there was hoar frost covering everything..it adds some interest to a winters day..I am off to take more photos! :)

We are going to get freezing rain to knock all this frost of the trees and onto the ground. I am anxious to see how it actually does work out with freezing rain and wind. Maybe it will just build up more.

ReplyDeleteI've posted a little item about our weekend visit to Schumachers in New Prague. We were the only guests Sunday night, and each time another staff person stopped to chat we told them the story of how we'd learned of their reopening from your blog. It was great fun for us, so thanks again for posting that! On the way back I took a hoar frost photo, too, but with the flat light it's not very dramatic. Still, the countryside was lovely.
