Today in Minnesota, one loon egg has hatched and we are waiting on the other egg to hatch..the new baby loon is a fuzzy ball on the nest with his or her parents. Here is the Link! :)
Don't laugh . . . I got quite excited to see the live loon cam, however, it's almost 9pm on the west coast and all I could see was the black of night! Ha! I'll have to check back in the morning!
I have paintings of loons all over my house. They are such incredible birds. When Old Dog and I went camping in the Boundary Waters a few years ago, there was a loon that kept swimming up to our campsite, coming closer whenever I would speak. I think I may be a Loon Whisperer!
There is one egg left to hatch, the little loon that hatched yesterday is quite a little troublemaker. He has had two very long swims all by himself..but is now safely back on the nest. :)
Update: Thursday Am, the last baby hatched just before dark last night! Two new loon babies in Minnesota!! They are having problems with the loon cam, I hope they get it fixed ..so I get another glimpse of them before they leave the nest for good later today or tomorrow. :)
Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your comments! If you have a question I will try to answer it here. I no longer accept anonymous comments. All comments will be approved before posting...due to spammers...may the fleas of a thousand camels infest every hair on his body. Connie
