A little fun today. I will give you a hint. I used this a long time ago..when I was a little girl. Leave your guess! Tomorrow I will tell you the story. :)

The chant was often needed for those girls who would walk around the circle for ever! Trying to decide who they liked the best. Used much in the same was as the Jeopardy jingle these days, as a timer.

OK, I will admit, I am not a fan of guessing games. But I will be willing to wait until tomorrow to find out what it is.

You have your coins tied in there.
ReplyDeleteI guess a fragrant herb!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet it's a hair-scrunchy with tails. I made tons of those for my daughters in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
ReplyDeleteI was going with "hankie," but it appears that the answer lies deeper than that.
ReplyDeleteI think you either have coins for Sunday School offering.....or you lost a tooth and put it in your hankie for the Tooth Fairy!
ReplyDeleteIs it a knotted hankie to remind you of something? We used to tie knots in our hankies to remember things! Jeannette xx
ReplyDeleteI would guess your mother probably tied your sunday school offering in your hanky.
ReplyDeleteA little hair scarf?
ReplyDeleteYour Easter hankerchief?
ReplyDeleteObviously it's not the obvious. ;) And since I totally suck at guessing, I'll wait til you tell us!
ReplyDeleteUm, those bells that were put on your shoelaces to keep them tied?
ReplyDelete"Drop the Hankie".
ReplyDelete"Sometime accompanied with A Tisket A Tasket A Green and Yellow Basket, wrote a letter to my love, and on the way I lost it, lost it."

it's a handkerchief, and you wrapped your milk money in it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl my mother put my offering for Sunday School in a hanky like that and she tied it shut.
