Halloween Candy! and I have more than enough for the less than 10 kids we will get. I bought the candy awhile ago one day when Far Guy was having his Moh's procedure and I had lots of time to wander around Walmart.
Friday we refreshed all the No Hunting signs along our property lines. Wouldn't want someone wandering in here shooting toward houses. And yes the deer come through here every day.
The yard is looking pretty good for this time of year. What's Cooking? A pork roast, mashed potatoes, GF gravy and carrots. Of course it will feed us for several lunches and another supper...that is the good part....but kitchen clean up kinda sucks. Far Guy is a trooper and washes all the dishes.
Minnesota Weather: Nice sunny day! High 53F or 12C Low was 36F or 2C.
The Halloween report will happen tomorrow...if there is anything to report!
Chance used to love Halloween! He loved seeing all the little kids!
He was not real thrilled to wear the hat!
I'm the trooper that does the dish washing in our household as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to get to see Chance again. Do you think Sadie will let you dress her up for occasions? We bought a small bag of candy last night but generally don't have many if any children anymore. Ours is a rural neighborhood with hills so generally the kids go to events in town or churches.
ReplyDeleteAwww Chance <3 Happy Howl-o-ween!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the littles that stop by for a treat. We have our 3 grandkids coming for their annual spooky Halloween Hunt in the woods tmr. I will resemble a Wolf :)
I loved seeing Chance again. And your yard is looking very tidy. We have much clean up ahead of us, but the leaves are not coming down yet.
ReplyDeleteYour yard looks clean. No leaves visible. I still have leaves falling and walnuts too.
ReplyDeleteI will have no trick or treaters. If by accident i do, i have candy.
What a beautiful wonderful Heartdog Chance was. For all of us!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteIt's my first comment. I'm a Japanese student, and your blog is so fun and helpful for learning English.
I enjoyed having pumpkin soup and some snacks today.
I'm looking forward to the Halloween report.
Have a nice Halloween!
Thanks for reading I am so glad it helps you to learn English!
DeleteWe are ready ! We usually get around 80 or so kids, but with it being Saturday this year, I've got enough for 150 just in case! I actually got small (halloween) packs of goldfish. This way if I have lots leftover, I can donate them to the school's food program. It also keeps Dave from giving too much and us running out. If we have the small chocolate, he'll give each kid 10 and we run out fast. With these (like the bags of chips) it's one per kid and he doesn't feel like he's not giving them enough lol.
ReplyDeleteChance looked so fetching in that hat! Burton normally doesn't mind a costume, but he was not fond of the devil get up - I don't think he liked it covering his ears.
Good to be back reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteRecently lost my husband, Glenn AKA Moe , of 64+ years June 23 2026. I have known him 75 years and we were in third grade together. I knew him as a child; as a teenager; as a boyfriend; a husband; a Father to our two daughters; a Grandfather to our only grandchild who died at 30 years old leaving behind a 17 month old son; a Great Grandfather to our only great grandchild. We were so lucky to have all those years together and I am ever so grateful for it. We almost did not since he had a massive heart attack at 49 years old.
He had the misfortune of having an ablation done the day after they did a heart catherization; kept him for two days and sent him home. Two days later at home his defibrillator went off. Then the same doctor prescribed Amiodarone along with many other pills. He ended up with irreversible Amiodarone Toxicity. He was one present of the two percent that get this. He always had a premonition that he would die gasping for air. And it did happen. Unfortunately, Hospice is not like it is on other states in the state of FL. They do not have the amount of Hospice facilities available for the amount of seniors living in FL. It was a nightmare. We were not assigned a caseworker. My two daughters and I were left alone until I finally called two days later. We had not seen a nurse or a CNA.. We had to change the mineral water on the oxygen machines. Not one of us had any healthcare training. Sent three of the machines back because they were not working right..
Thanks for listening.
Roz
