Still Hot!

Not much happening here.   A little cleaning, cooking and crocheting...that is about it.

Far Guy managed to sit outside and woodcarve a bit in the morning. Then it got too warm for him.

I trimmed around the bird feeder and around a couple of trees...that is an on going project.

Rudbeckia or if you wish a Black-eyed Susan.

What's Cooking?  Pork chops and rice.

Minnesota weather:  High 94F or 34C      Low 69F or 21C  We are in a heat advisory and a Air Quality Alert due to the Wildfires in the Boundary Waters.  Sure hope it rains.

  1. Your weather has heated up.

Some say brown eyed and some say black. I think they’re pretty by either name. They’re hardy too.

  2. We're cooler today so I hope that means you will see it soon.

  3. I am waiting to see if any Black eyed Susans/seeds made it through our control burn. It could still happen!

  5. It's a good idea to take it easy in the heat.

  6. I hope for your sake the winds don't shift to the north east where the fires are. Us folks in Ontario have had an awful blast.

  7. It has been HOT around here as well... Thankfully, we have had a LOT of rain the past few days which has cooled things down a bit...

  8. LD...We are getting the heat also but not the smoke so far. It is heat that we just can't get use to. I work outside and just have to quit as it beats down. The hot sun as well as the heat and humidity takes one down.

  9. Hoping you get some rain soon and that the air quality improves. Take care in that Minnesota heat.

  10. I think our hottest day for our 2nd heat wave was yesterday in the 100's. Now we are battling heat and very bad air. It's so think you can feel it and taste it, it's that bad. I never ever remember us dealing with wild fire smoke as a kid growing up. It's awful here today.

  11. I'm enjoying a bit of respite from the heat of FL. I am in Oakland, CA and they are complaining about the heat here. Uh...78°??!!! They just don't get it! I hope that Far Guy doesn't have problems with the smoke.
